If you've been waiting for some sign from the universe to purchase the ILIA Multi-Stick, well this is it—I'm your sign.

I have been using this lip and cheek tint for the best part of a year and to put it simply, I'm in love. This stick delivers the most natural and 'lit-from-within' blush I have ever encountered—and I've been around the block with the likes of Glossier's Cloud Paint, Rare Beauty's Melting Blushes and Charlotte Tilbury's wand and powder blushes.

Though granted it is definitely on the pricier side—totaling $36—I'm about to run through why, if you're a glowy makeup lover, I think it's worth the spend, as someone who has just re-ordered it...

So, why is this stick my ride-or-die, well for starters, it's a multipurpose makeup product. You can apply it to both your cheeks and your lips and oof, that color payoff. I use shade "At Last" which is the perfect mauve rose shade that just compliments my skin tone so well and makes me look instantly fresh. I wear it every day without fail, in fact since buying it I've never deviated back to my OG's, meaning there is something of a blush graveyard in my makeup bag...

It's also soo easy to apply, as you can just swipe it over the apples of your cheek, or cheekbones—depending on your preferred placement—and blend it in with your fingertips. Personally, I apply it quite high on my cheeks and on my nose bridge and tap it in using my ring finger.

And don't be fooled by it's size, this stick lasts! I've had mine for over nine months now and I'm still using it—though I am past the rim now, which makes it a bit annoying to get what's left of the product out, which is the one gripe I'd like to make on the packaging itself.

Formula-wise, it features shea and avocado oil, which really lend themselves to the dewy glow this stick delivers to the cheeks and is available in 12 dreamy shades—all of which are perfect for recreating that 'Strawberry Girl' makeup vibe. Even My Imperfect Life's Editor, Mariana Cerqueira is a fan and uses shade "Whisper", in case you were wondering!

The only drawback for me is yes, the price but it is one I'm willing to pay considering what a staple this blush has become in my makeup arsenal. But, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, this e.l.f blush stick (at ULTA) looks very similar!

As if Emma's style influence wasn't already all over our capsule wardrobes, the social media star and coffee connoisseur has just offered up some major fall-time hair inspo—enter, Emma Chamberlain's updo...

Sporting a long cut-out red dress (which colorwise, is also a huge fall trend), Emma stepped out for Lancôme's Paris Fashion Week event on Wednesday, September 27, with her espresso-brunette hair pulled back into a soft, touseled bun, complete with face-framing curtain bangs. The look was perfectly undone and exactly what we're looking for in a fall hair look.

Now, we're not going to sit here and say that Emma in any way invented or coined this wispy bun look but what we are going to do is talk about how darn good looks on her and how we—and you—can go about recreating it this season.

As mentioned, Emma debuted the hairstyle at Paris Fashion Week and it's already one of our favorite Emma Chamberlain hair looks of all time. 

The updo itself is such a classic choice, with the majority of her hair brushed back into a spikey bun and her bangs—plus a few longer side pieces—having been softly quaffed around her face. It's simple and elegant and the perfect versatile look to pair with your wardrobe, from a casual work look to a fall-ready leather jacket and knit jumper outfit or of course, a more formal ensemble, like Emma's.

It's also surprisingly low-maintenance, much like the viral slicked-back bun, once you've nailed the method.

As for recreating this bun, you'll first want to brush your hair through—we'd recommend a bristly paddle brush like this one from Denman—then section out your fringe and a few shortish side pieces, before tying the rest of your hair back into a mid-rise ponytail.

Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre is counted among the best perfumes thanks to its fresh and fruity anatomy—but as to be expected from the iconic name, a bottle does not come cheap.

The scent itself features a soft blend of jasmine, rose and teakwood, with sparkling hints of citron that once spritzed, create a violet-like aroma on the skin. Now that's all well and good but a bottle of the floral perfume will set you back $90 for 1.2 fluid ounces. 

Thankfully though, fragrance enthusiasts over on TikTok come through with three perfectly fresh alternatives from ZARA, Target and Dossier all for under $30...

As a former wearer of Chance Eau Tendre myself (Le Labo Santal 33 is my new go-to, in case you were interested), I can attest to the hype of this scent. It's sweet and warm but still fresh and really reminds me of Parma Violets...but fancy. It's the perfect everyday fragrance and will no doubt earn you a multitude of compliments when worn as a date night scent. 

That being said, it is on the pricier side but like with these YSL Black Opium replicas, there are a few almost identical alternatives out there, just waiting to be spritzed...

One such fragrance is ZARA's Applejuice, which—like most of ZARA's perfume range—has been dubbed by TikTokers as a close swap.

Will there be a 'Love Is Blind' season 6?

Though we don't have a sense of timelines quite yet, it appears that Love Is Blind season 6 is in the works with Netflix and the show's creator, Kinetic Content. At this time, any legal allegations do not appear to affect what's coming down the pipeline, but we'll be sure to keep you updated, should that change. 

According to multiple sources, filming is about to get underway towards the end of 2023, though it's still unclear where the next set of hopeful romantics will be from. Love Is Blind casting calls revealed that scouts were in the Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota areas, so it's possible we can get a taste of the Midwest since we've been to Texas twice in a very short amount of time. (We've been to Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and Houston thus far.) Regardless of the location, Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen wants to keep things coming. 

"Gimmicks might work for a season, but then you’re done. And these shows have to be nurtured," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "Sometimes, even within the reality industry, people take execution for granted. I’ve heard comments from really smart people in this business to the effect of 'Oh, by your second or third season, a show’ll just edit itself.' No, it won’t!"

When can we expect 'Love Is Blind' season 6?

Although it's too soon to say, we suspect that Love Is Blind season 6 will make its way to our screens at some point in spring 2024. But until then, we'll just have to busy ourselves with the most recent declarations of love...and drama, of course.

The first four episodes of Love Is Blind season 5 are available to stream on Netflix beginning Friday, September 22. The show drops episodes weekly on Fridays until October 13.

"You only have so many crews and so much budget and so much time,” he told Netflix Tudum. “It would be amazing to follow everybody, but you just have to decide what feels like a good group to follow."

There's a good chance we really don't know how connections unfolded, and there could have been relationships blossoming that we didn't even get a chance to witness. There might've been wild pairings we'd never see coming! 

However, according to Coelen, having too much content is actually a good thing. When the show first began, there was a fear that there wouldn't be successful pairings, and things would simmer out after the pods. Who would go on those honeymoons and get a few weeks in those swanky new apartments?! 

"In real life, we ended up having more success than you even see on the show, in terms of people falling in love and getting engaged in the pod part of the show," he told The AV Club. "There were more couples that got engaged than we were able to follow, which we did not expect at all. We felt like we would be lucky to have just one couple, and we had an overwhelming abundance of stories."

Aaliyah and Uche hit it off from the get-go because of their shared love of poetry and desire to dig deep in to each other's feelings. Despite a hiccup along the way about cheating and trust issues, the two decide to give forever a shot. But on the day that Uche ventured to the pods to propose, he learned that Aaliyah left the experiment. 

Despite the love she had for Uche, she tells My Imperfect Life that the situation felt off—for one particular reason. 

"To be honest, it was just a gut feeling," she says. "It was just an intuition moment for me. I felt like I was making the best decision for myself and everyone involved at the time."

What caused Aaliyah to make her decision?

Despite a few ups and downs along the way, Aaliyah and Uche proved to be a solid connection...until her best friend, Lydia, dropped a bombshell. It wasn't uncommon for Aaliyah and Lydia to share "I love you's" and Aaliyah even confessed that she believed Lydia would be a wonderful auntie to her kids someday. Plus they comforted one another throughout their dating trials and tribulations. Even if love wasn't in the cards, these two had each other. 

However, things took a very confusing turn when Aaliyah learned that Uche was Lydia's ex—a secret she had been keeping the entire time Aaliyah was dating him and confiding in her friend about him. But when it comes to love, fellow contestant Milton (Lydia's other half) puts it well—for all participants: 

"Love, you know, like anything, requires work. It requires commitment," he tells My Imperfect Life. "I often think of it like getting through undergrad: there are some good semesters, and there are some tough semesters. You may not be on the Dean's List every semester, and that's OK. You know, sometimes you have to do something to boost that GPA."

As it turns out, Lydia and Uche actually dated outside of the pods and started cracking up upon recognizing each other's voices. 

"I don't know if this is a sign," Uche confessed. 

"Right? Is this a sign that we stop should—you know what I'm saying, cut the crap you want to start at zero? A blessing in disguise," Lydia suggested. 

Given that there's a lot of prep work involved, we were not expecting this blind run-in. 

"We like to be in places that have a big enough regional population that we can cast a really wide net and try to get people who haven't run into each other hanging out in the one bar in town, or they've all run into each other on a dating app," creator Chris Coelen told Entertainment Weekly. "We want a big enough diversity of people, so we tend to go for bigger metropolitan areas just because you find more people there."

All we can say is, "Whoops!"

Do Lydia and Uche reconnect on 'Love is Blind'?

Though the exes decided not to reconnect, there was one *tiny* problem. Uche is dating Aaliyah, Lydia's best friend in the pods—a detail both these exes kept from her. Given that Aaliyah had become so close to Lydia, so much so that she insisted she'd be a "great auntie" to her future children, this seems like a very interesting factor to omit. 

As things got more serious between Uche and Aaliyah and they worked through hurdles over her past indiscretion, that's when he decided to drop the bomb, and needless to say, trust was definitely in question.

"I walked into the pods, and I started talking, and the person seemed to recognize my voice and know certain things about me. It is a girl that I have dated in the past" Uche told Aaliyah. "It's Lydia."

Holy moly. Talk about a curve ball. How is Aaliyah supposed to carry on, especially when it seems that Lydia is a little *too* anxious to give her newfound friend details about their shared partner? 

Uche, for his part, planned to keep things separate, or so he said: "I think it's about me and you establishing our connection and not letting anything get in the way of that," he told Aaliyah. 

When an argument erupted between Lydia and Aaliyah—one which we don't see play out on TV—Aaliyah reassessed everything. Was this truly the right fit? Could she date a friend's ex? Would a Love Is Blind triangle *really* be manageable? Ultimately, she decided that she couldn't continue with the experiment.  

"It's difficult, you know. You're dating the same men. You're forming connections with the same friend, you're forming connections with one another through this, so it's really hard to kind of like navigate all of that," Aaliyah tells My Imperfect Life. 

Though Lydia and Milton go on to be one of the three Love Is Blind season 5 couples to get engaged, will we get closure for Aaliyah and Uche? You'll have to keep up with the rest of the series to find out what happens next.

"Friendships, they're probably one of your closest types of relationships in life. It's important to be very honest and open," Aaliyah tells us. "It's okay to be imperfect, but to maintain certain boundaries and respect other's boundaries, you do have to be considerate and be able to step outside yourself."

It can't be easy to all encounter the same men in the pods (well, from behind a wall, anyway) and not let other connections get inside your head. It's practically impossible.

"It's difficult, you know. You're dating the same men. You're forming connections with the same friend, you're forming connections with one another through this, so it's really hard to kind of like navigate all of that," she adds. 

But the shock of learning that your supposed best friend is keeping a major secret from you can't feel good either. Despite the issues between the two, Aaliyah says everyone has moved on in a positive direction. 

"It's been a while since I've talked to her one-on-one, but I think we both know that we have a mutual respect for one another," she says. "I think we both want each other to be happy and in a good place. I know for sure I'm at peace over where things are and the decisions that I've made. And I don't have any regrets about how I handled things."

1. Taylor & JP

These two "sugar butts" celebrated a milestone: the first engagement of season 5! In the pods, Tiffany, a teacher, and JP, a firefighter, were digging deep and getting to the real nitty gritty stuff, which only seemed to make them closer. Once the wall is removed from the equation, what will happen next?

2. Lydia & Milton

Though Lydia had a past with someone else in the pods—who ended up matching with her BFF Aaliyah—she managed to find her footing. After an upset with Izzy, she felt comfortable getting to know Milton, an engineer, though she initially worried that being six years his senior (he's 24) would be a make-it-or-break-it factor. In the end, it was a "make it."

The spunky, passionate, and emotional geologist managed to find love with a young, mature engineer with a seemingly serious and quiet demeanor—quite the opposite of her. In the end, the outlandish experiment really impacted Milton, despite a few hurdles along the way with his leading lady and her previous love life. 

"The experiment is definitely extremely unconventional, and I think that's what kind of drew me to the experience," Milton tells My Imperfect Life. "My main prerogative was to potentially find a wife, and Lydia had a lot of the characteristics and traits I was looking for. Being that she dated previously to me, it didn't really have any merit."

Where do the two stand? We're going to have to wait to find out.

Izzy was a fan-favorite amongst the ladies of the pods but did earn a bit of a reputation for being a playboy (though we can't say we witness that firsthand). He broke Lydia's heart at the beginning of the experiment, only to gravitate toward Johnnie, a lawyer. But then, as he notes, "Stacy came in out of nowhere."

The yin to his yang, Stacy is a firecracker, a world traveler, and all about having fun. She originally had reservations about tying the knot, but something about Izzy's comforting demeanor changed her mind. There might be some lifestyle differences between them, but will they be able to make it work? 

What happened between Aaliyah and Uche?

Aaliyah and Uche were set to be the fourth couple of the season...until she decided not to go through with the experiment *right* as Uche was getting ready to propose. Why the cold feet? Well, it gets complicated...

We're certainly anxious to see what happens this go around: Are Otis and Maeve (Emma Mackey) *finally* getting together? When can we expect that Dan Levy cameo?! How will Otis handle having a little one around to steal away the attention of his mother, Jean (Gillian Anderson)? There's a lot to digest, and we'll gladly follow this cast of characters through whatever they decide to pursue next. 

In a new The Guardian interview with the show's creator, Laurie Nunn, it seemed that she had hesitations about officially parting ways with a world she's been immersed in for nearly a decade. 

"A lot has happened in nine years—and I haven’t really worked on anything else," she tells the publication. "I feel weirdly grief-stricken—but then I’m like: 'They’re not real characters—that’s kind of embarrassing!'"

Could the cure to that grief be continuing the story? *Crosses fingers*

Will there be a 'Sex Education' season 5?

Throughout Nunn's discussion with the outlet, we're given a few glimmers of hope that things aren't quite settled just yet in the Sex Education universe. 

She is "really proud of what the show has achieved and the conversations it started" regarding intimacy and diversity. It's also grappled with a lot darker and more serious topics, such as sexual assault. Considering all that's happening in the world right now, there's still a lot to touch on in these areas. (Speaking of which, here's what Sex Education gets right, according to sexologists.) 

Plus, Otis' particularly tough storyline this season shows his struggle with the changes in his life: the move from Moordale, Maeve's journey across the pond, Jane's second child, etc. Is there room to play with a new future? 

"When you’re in your late teens, there can be this feeling that if you mess up, that’s it – that’s your final chance, and life is over. I felt that very strongly when I was at school,” Nunn tells The Guardian. “I wanted to say that that is not the case, there are always second chances. Because I started from that place, those slightly darker themes started to come out.”

Alas, despite these slivers of detail, we will in fact be biding adieu to Otis and the crew this season, but don't expect to necessarily feel closure—that's the whole point. 

"I’m hopeful that there’s a bittersweetness to [the ending], and that there’s everything people want in there, even though it might not be wrapped up completely perfectly," Nunn adds.

Sex Education season 4, the final hoorah, is upon us, and fans have plenty to look forward to (including a Dan Levy cameo!). Will Maeve and Otis get together at long last? There will certainly be some growing pains along the way, and it seems the teen has trouble finding his footing in this new chapter, not so unlike changes we've personally experienced growing up and coming into our own.

“Otis is 17 and he doesn’t always get things right," Nunn added. "That’s also part of his journey in this season in terms of figuring out how to treat people."

Regarding the show's premise, what does it get right about intimacy? Is Jane the invaluable sex source we believe her to be, and are these characters as authentic as they are lovable? Sexperts share their insight on what works about the show. 

What does 'Sex Education' get right about sex?

According to extensive research from EllaOne, sexperts are in agreement that the Netflix series is not only binge-worthy but accurate in terms of all that it represents.

1. It's inclusive

Otis is joined by a cast of characters that are all different, whether it be gender, race, sexual identity, abilities, etc. Everyone gets representation and an honest one free of stigma.  

“It’s great to see LGBTQI characters, even adorable teenage cosplay fetishists, getting screen time and not just appearing as 'token' characters,” sex and intimacy counselor Marcy Brink told EllaOne.

What's more, Sex Education flips the script and chooses to empower these characters instead of making them victims.  

"The characters break the boundaries of existing and repressive stereotypes and are given a platform to share their unique stories while holding onto their multifaceted identities," sensual intimacy coach Oli Lipski added in agreement. 

2. It goes beyond traditional education

In most cases, discussions about sex are often just a biology lesson, especially when the topic is introduced to teens. Per EllaOne, a 2019 survey uncovered that participants ages 18-35 wished that their intimacy overview covered more areas. Nearly 50% of those who participated wanted to know more about the emotions behind the act. Additionally, 40% of those who participated didn't learn about sexual pleasure and 30% wish consent was something that was more widely discussed.

It seems the show does a much more thorough job of covering intimacy from all viewpoints as opposed to IRL sex ed. Plus, we get viewpoints from a wide cast of characters. 

Sex Education does a fantastic job of showing the ups and downs, ins and outs, excitement and frustration of being a sexually awakened human," said somatic sex educator Amy McFarling.

3. It misses the mark on *one* thing, though

Though Sex Education is clearly widely revered, it doesn't quite hone in on abstinence, which is a reality for plenty of teens all over the world. 

“Although there are a plethora of real-life aspects that appear throughout the series, one aspect that does not feature much in the show is the choice to delay having sex,” says PJ Livett, the founder of rePHRASE. “This is also a valid decision that should be presented to young people. The show perhaps misses a trick when it comes to representing the lived experiences of teens, by assuming that all teens want to be sexually active."

4. Yes, Jean Milburn knows what she's doing

Yes, Jean accurately portrays what a sex therapist does on a daily basis, whether it comes to how she approaches sensitive topics with her clients, her son, and herself. She makes the topic accessible for everyone and less taboo. 

“I think Jean Milburn’s character is great because she models how to talk frankly about sexuality,” Marcy Brink said. “My daughter once asked me, “Mom, isn’t it embarrassing to talk about sex?” I told her it was, even for us sex therapists, but the benefits of good, open communication are worth a little blushing. And blushing is a sign of vitality, so why not blush a little?”

Married At First Sight UK's love experts for season 8 are Mel Schilling, Charlene Douglas and Paul C Brunson.

Of the expanded season, Douglas tells Virgin Radio UK that the larger episode count helped the experts connect to the cast. 

"We've got the same format in terms of the weddings and the dinner parties and the commitment ceremonies and obviously, the vowel renewal at the end. It’s bigger and better, so 36 episodes. I feel like we really, really know these couples, because we've spent so much time with them," she told the outlet.

According to various studies, scent is definitely important when it comes down to attraction, and it can affect the way in which people connect with one another.

"There's been research on people's responses to others' bodily scents, often in the context of researching pheromones, which suggests that for at least many of us, it really matters to attraction and pleasure if we love the way our partners smell," says Dr. Carol Queen, Ph.D., the in-house sexologist at Good Vibes. 

As much as we encourage a stroll down the fragrance aisle at Sephora—who are we to resist?!—your vanilla-scented body mist is not going to necessarily be a make-it-or-break-it factor. Here's what you need to know. 

Is 'scent seduction' important in attraction?

According to a 2017 study in Frontiers in Psychology, one of many of its kind, visual, auditory, and olfactory cues suggest that attraction is multimodal, meaning a pretty face isn't the only determining factor in who we find to be good-looking.

Agata Groyecka, a researcher at the University of Wroclaw in Poland who oversaw the study said, per CNN, "Some odors are not only rated as more pleasant but also sexier, and therefore, they are likely to make people eager to flirt or date. Similarly, unpleasant odors can be discouraging to engaging in a relationship."

But more often than not, the scents in question are natural, not manufactured.

"The focus here is not on artificial scents—there's a lot of PR trying to convince us to embrace various perfumes, aftershaves, scented candles, etc.," Dr. Queen notes.

Likewise, Dr. Laurie Mintz, a sexpert at Lelo, says, "We know that scent does play a role in attraction. However, there is no one scent that fits all. Scents that we find attractive aren’t necessarily artificial ones. In cultures that don’t mask body scents, a person’s natural body odor or the 'smell of sex' may be a turn-on. In societies that value covering up scents, these same smells may be a turn-off."

Given the uptick in sensory play sex trends, fragrances are definitely worth noting but understand that what might be appealing to you could be totally different to someone else. Much like sexual experiences themselves, everyone has a preference—there's no right or wrong answer. 

"All of this is deeply personal," says Angie Rowntree, founder and director of Sssh.com "We don’t want to say 'all women love Lavender or Jasmine' or 'Cinnamon or Sandalwood always does the trick' because the way a scent registers with your brain and my brain might be very different. It  also seems clear that there’s a strong relationship between scent and memory, and our associations likely evolve throughout our lifetime."

So, first thing's first, what does Another 13 smell like? Well, much like Niall Horan's cologne go-to, Santal 33 (yes, we've also found some Le Labo Santal 33 dupes for ya!), Another 13 is very warm and musky.

Its perfume notes include; jasmine, ambroxyde—a synthetic animal musk—and moss, which when spritzed onto the skin, leaves behind a truly hypnotizing and unique aroma.

Alas though, as dreamy as it sounds it's definitely an investment buy, costing $230 for 1.7 fluid ounces, but for those who can't swing that on a fragrance—no matter how darn good it's said to smell—there are a few alternatives to be found...

One being the Floral Street Arizona Bloom Eau de Parfum, which in comparison costs  $89 for the same amount. 

With its blend of coconut, jasmine and salted musks, TikToker @mary_hayes says once it's dried down, it smells exactly like Another 13, adding: "The DNA of these two perfumes is identical." 

The actual perfume reviews tell a similar story, with one shopper writing: "If you love Le Labo Another 13, I highly recommend. I have both fragrances and I cannot tell them apart."

Another close swap for the scent is said to be Muse by Who Is Elijah, with TikToker @sniffinwithsteph saying: "I smell it and I'm like oh, this is Another 13." Muse, features a similar blend of warm florals, with notes of jasmine, ambergris, ambroxan, musk, amber and moss—so yeah, we'd say on paper that's pretty close!
