While red is set to be a big color obsession this fall, a case is also being made for monochromatic fits, especially super chic all-black outfits.

Now, a head-to-toe black look isn't exactly a new, groundbreaking concept but we are about to see them crop up more and more this season. Especially following Copenhagen Fashion Week, where one of the main takeaways was that fully black ensembles, from co-ords to dresses, are in. So, with the Scandi gals loving the look, naturally, the sophisticated shade now needs to dominate our autumn capsule wardrobes

And aside from the current hype, an all-black fit is a true staple look to have in your wheelhouse and just oozes 'Quiet Luxury' vibes with very minimal effort involved. Plus, it's famously a hue that looks good on everyone. So, here's how to rock the noir-centric trend for fall and beyond...

The ultimate black outfit staples to add to your wardrobe

Fall 2023 truly is the season of one-color fits, as we've also seen white outfits gaining momentum across our socials.

The beauty of an all-black outfit is its simplicity and how darn classic it looks—whether you're opting for a casual black t-shirt and jeans combo or a linen button-up co-ord.  It's one of the easiest colors to wear because it's both flattering and not overtly statement, though wearing a fully black fit does create that effortless, sophisticated vibe that we're all trying to embody these days.

As for how to build a black fit, we'd suggest starting with basics, so a T-shirt, a knit, trousers and a dress, plus some black sneakers or loafers and going from there. And yes, we've rounded a few styling, interchangeable options for you—just to make life that much easier...

How to nail an all-black fit

There's no hard or fast rule to nailing a black outfit because again, the beauty of the color is that it goes with everything—so pairing it with itself is a walk in the park. However, we will say that accessorizing is key for elevating your outfit from basic to a certified lewk.

So, if you're wearing a black co-ord or tank and trousers, add a pair of gold huggie earrings—or some Hailey Bieber-esque statement earrings—and some chains. You could also add some chic sunnies or a crossbody bag, like the TikTok-fave Uniqlo shoulder bag.

And all-black fit is also a fun way to inject a pop color, like a red handbag or colorful coat, for instance.
