Who is Emma Chamberlain dating, you ask? Well, the social media IT girl—whose effortless street style has basically shaped our entire capsule wardrobe at this point—has officially lifted the lid on her long-term relationship...

The so-called 'hard launch' came by way of their joint (and seriously aesthetic) GQ interview back in February 2023, where Emma Chamberlain and Role Model—aka Tucker Pillsbury—dished on how they met, why they initially kept their relationship private and their overall dynamic. And to summarise, it was food for the soul of Emma stans, much like her new coffee-based Erehwon smoothie.

And naturally, despite getting all the tea and a number of cute red-carpet appearances after the fact, fans just want more! So, for anyone heavily invested in this pairing (*same*), here's a full recap of the Emma Chamberlain Role Model love story...

Who is Emma Chamberlain's boyfriend, Role Model?

Oh, we’re so glad you asked! For anyone currently wondering "does Emma Chamberlain have a boyfriend?"—meet Tucker Pillsbury. He's a singer/songwriter who goes by the name ‘Role Model' and shot to fame in 2017 with his EP, Arizona. He's since gone on to perform at major festivals, including Coachella 2022, where he headlined alongside big names like Billie Eilish and The Weeknd.

In April 2022 he released his debut album Rx (with a number of tracks seemingly inspired by Emma) and announced his world tour—which, also saw Emma join him for a number of his European shows. Couple goals!

Social media-wise, you can follow him as ‘Role Model’ on Insta, where he already has over 650k followers!

How old is Role Model?

Tucker is 26 years old, making him four years older than Emma—who turned 22 on May 22nd, 2023.

In case you’re interested in their zodiac compatibility, Tucker’s birthday is May 15th, which makes him a Taurus and Emma a Gemini.

What are Role Model's tattoos?

Like with Emma Chamberlain's tattoos, Tucker also has several tattoos, especially on his arms and they're worth a look if you need some tiny, micro tattoo inspo!

His tats include barbed wire, a ladder, a butterfly, a skull and even a bird cage, along with several other inks scattered across Tucker's torso and legs. Though don't ask how many he has—because, as Emma pointed out in their GQ Couples Quiz—even he doesn't know!

When did Emma Chamberlain and Role Model start dating?

Despite being previously very open with her day-to-day life, thanks to her YouTube channel, Emma is understandably more private when it comes to her love life. So, particular dates for when her relationship with Tucker began were initially, pretty scarce—until now, that is!

While the pair kept the timeframe of their relationship on the DL, Emma and Tucker did reveal in their February 2023 GQ interview that it all began at the beginning of March 2020, meaning they've now been together for three years.

Tucker revealed that he slid into her DM's, telling her one of her outfits was "fire" but confessed the moment he really fell for her was seeing a TikTok of her. He recalled how in the video, Emma was "trying to twerk to a Dayglow song in the bathroom and surprising herself that her ass moved a little bit. For some reason—I don't know why, had nothing to do with the twerking, I'm not a f****** creep—but it showed her personality."

They then went on to discuss their first date—which they admit was a disaster. After months of texting, the big day came but both of them were so nervous, that the just played Fortnite. Thankfully, the damage wasn't permanent and they were able to overcome the butterflies during another group hangout.

Despite initially wanting to keep their relationship out of the public eye, the pair have now decided to lift the lid a little, with Emma quipping: "There are parts of our relationship that are going to be private forever. But I don't think we need to be secret anymore. It's just like, I'm over that s***," before dubbing their interview an official "hard launch."

As for how fans first caught wind of Emma Chamberlain's boyfriend sitch, the fashionista appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in January 2022 and revealed that yes, she was infact dating someone, though she didn't name any names.

She did however give fans a glimpse into their relationship dynamic, saying: “Being best friends with your significant other is the best f--king thing ever.”

Much like spidey co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya, these two have really captured the hearts of fans, and every time there's even a hint of them together, or on each other socials, it's a major moment.

In Tucker’s solo interview with GQ in April 2022, he revealed how fans sussed out that they were dating in the first place. He explained that after he commented on one of her Instagram posts, fans quickly discovered that her parents were following him—which is definitely a dead giveaway!

He also shared how they met, saying that he just DM'd her on Instagram and after texting back and forth for weeks, they finally hung out and played Fortnite at her apartment.

He then said: "She said 'I love you' a week into our relationship, and loving her back changed something in my brain. I wouldn’t say it cured my depression completely, but I was suddenly going outside, working out, and taking care of myself for the first time.

"I knew I was in love with her before I met her. I can judge people well online, and I knew I loved her because of little things she did, like the way she blinks and shit. It’s stupid little things! I felt like I knew her. She reminded me of myself."—UM, we're obsessed.

The couple went red carpet official in March 2022 at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, looking as cool as ever!

And as for what Tucker thinks of the other man in Emma's life, yes we're of course, referring to her iconic exchange with Jack Harlow at the Met Gala in 2022—you know when they said "love ya" to each other and Emma had an existential crisis?—well, he's cool with it.

In fact, following their long-awaited Met Gala reunion in May 2023, Tucker took to Instagram to share a picture of the pair hugging, which he captioned with: "Big day for Tuck," before also making it his phone's lock screen. Part of us hopes it's still his lock screen to this day...
