2000 called, and it wants more episodes of MTV Cribs

Twenty-two years later, the network is happy to oblige and give into our noughties needs. One of our favorite nostalgic TV shows of all time, Cribs provides a glamorous peek inside celebrities' homes and everyday life. Spoiler: the abodes and everything in them were a far cry from ordinary—from the likes of Missy Elliot's Ferrari bed to 50 Cent's six kitchens in his Connecticut mansion.

Naturally, we are more than ready to revisit one of our favorite guilty pleasures from middle school. Allow us to reapply our LipSmackers, grab our mini bags and set up shop in front of the TV for the next generation of lavishness. (No one tell the Bling Ring crew.)

"We are thrilled to usher in a new era of this iconic franchise for audiences around the world," Nina L. Diaz, president of content and chief creative officer, MTV Entertainment Group, said in a statement.

The show, which has seen a few spinoffs, quietly relaunched in 2021, and dare we say, practically went unnoticed. (Scott Disick, Snooki and Martha Stewart were among the featured guests.) One  year later, we're in tune with the update. Here's everything you need to know about Cribs 2022—and who will make an appearance on the show.

'MTV Cribs' 2022 premiere date

The show will make its grand return on Thursday, October 27 at 9pm ET/PT on MTV. From the trailer, it looks like we'll be treated to a wide variety of oddities: a "love lounge," a snake room (for those with ophidiophobia, turn back now) and a massive car collection that practically looks like a luxury dealership.

How to watch MTV 'Cribs'

For those who do not have cable access, consider a VPN, which allows you to change your IP address so you can browse anonymously and change your IP address. In turn, your mobile, computer or laptop will think it's in another location. We recommend Express VPN, the top-rated service by our colleagues at TechRadar.

For those who want to catch up with the episodes of yesteryear, head over to Paramount+ where you can watch seasons 2, and 3 to 17.  (We've been meaning to revisit the Sum 41 space for some time now.)

Which celebs will be on 'MTV Cribs' this year?

Curious who will make a cameo on the reboot? Guests include—but are not limited to—MTV alumni, singers, athletes and more.
