Are Devin Booker and Jenna Ortega dating? An investigation into what's really behind these rumors

Rumor has it Devin Booker and Jenna Ortega are dating after a mysterious picture of the pair started circulating online—but are they actually romantically involved, or is it just rumors?

Well, here's a couple that was definitely not on our 2023 bingo card. Actress Jenna Ortega (aka Wednesday Addams herself) and NBA star, Devin Booker—who up until October 2022 was Kendall Jenner's boyfriend—are supposedly a thing...or are they? 

When it comes to any celebrity pairing, it doesn't exactly take much to spark a full-on viral relationship rumor—take Pete Davidson and Ice Spice for instance, or even that of Devin's ex Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's latest headline-making outing. So, is there really any truth to these Devin and Jenna rumors and if not, just where on earth did they come from?

Are Devin Booker and Jenna Ortega dating?

While this was indeed a wild ride for approximately 0.3 seconds, the answer is no, the Wednesday star and pro-basketball player are not dating. In fact, the internet seems to have been well and truly duped by a bit of photoshopping.

The rumors were sparked on March 14, 2023 after a 'paparazzi' image went viral, baring the TMZ watermark, depicting Jenna and Devin smiling together, while walking hand in hand. 

The image initially sparked confusion as the duo is definitely one of the more random pairings to come out of the celebrity zeitgeist—as one user tweeted:

While others were not at all convinced by the snap...

Thankfully, the internet sleuths quickly jumped on the case to provide receipts that the image was in fact doctored, having been shared by a Basketball satire account @Buttcrack Sports.

In fact, the two images of Devin and Jenna (which have, we admit, been seamlessly spliced together) were actually taken a year apart.

As you can see, Jenna is wearing the same Wedneday-eqsue outfit that she wore to the Scream 6 premiere in March 2023, while the original image of Devin was actually taken on September 12, 2022, with someone who definitely isn't Jenna to his left—see below...

The account has since copped to fabricating the whole Jenna/Devin saga in a new tweet, so that's the end of that!
