It's giving the Matrix meets '90s runway and we're obsessed.

Hailey Bieber has once again proven just how powerful a little black dress (LBD) is in our style arsenal—especially when it's leather.

Stepping out on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the Rhode Skin founder and model gave us an instant entry to our fashion inspo Pinterest board, as she opted for a black leather, strapless dress, paired with a matching shoulder bag and 'Quiet Luxury'-esque pair of pointed heels. The whole ensemble perfectly balances cool and edgy and while Hailey Bieber's casual leather jacket fits also never miss, this date-night, leather dress moment deserves some hype.

And naturally, we're planning to add this entire Hailey Bieber leather dress look to our capsule wardrobes, STAT. So, if you're a fan of this latest look—which is so 90s fashion-coded—here's how to rock it IRL, with a few timeless but budget-friendly pieces...

Hailey Bieber's leather dress outfit

So, you want to recreate this statement, main character outfit? No problem, because the beauty of a LBD is that it's just one, flattering staple piece, that can be worn again and again and elevated by your favorite accessories—plus a few spritzes of perfume, we'd recommend these Hailey Bieber Fleur Narcotique dupes, to complete the vibe.

You can just slip it on, add a pair of heels and a bag and you're ready to strut straight out the door. But of course, if you're looking to boost the low-effort, classic look even more, a patent leather material, like Hailey's, is the way to go.

Leather never fails to inject a bit of grunge into your look, along with a vintage feel and just overall effortlessness. And though it is perhaps a bit of a statement, Hailey proves the key to styling an LBD ("leather black dress" in this case) is simplicity.

And while Hailey's exact dress is no doubt designer and a tad pricey—unlike Hailey's Reformation dress which is currently on sale, by the way—luckily leather-look dresses are readily accessible elsewhere.

How to style a Hailey Bieber LBD look

A shiny, leather mini dress is quite a bold option for a date night, which is why adding subtle accessories will really help tie this look together, without looking over the top.

As we can see, Hailey added a matching black leather bag and some pumps, along with her fave gold earrings (Hailey Bieber's earrings are a true wardrobe staple!) and a dainty anklet.

She also opted for no necklace, and a slicked-back bun look—allowing the leather dress to be the statement and focal point of her outfit.

To adjust this look for the fall, we'd suggest simply adding a pair of black sheer tights and a black blazer.
