Does Kady McDermott have a boyfriend? It seems season 10's drama is far from over (here's how to watch Love Island UK if you want to relive it!), as Love Island fans have been left reeling over this very question—and it's all because a certain messy islander has accused Kady of having a secret beau during her time in the villa...

Rumors first began swirling after the season 2 alum, made her shock return to the villa during this summer's series, with The Sun reporting on July 1, 2023, that Kady had a 'secret boyfriend' waiting on the outside. Despite these reports, Kady went on to couple up with Casa Amor contestant, Ouzy See—with whom she has appeared on numerous podcasts since their departure from the villa and even dished on their future dating plans.

Now, Mitchel (aka 'Messy Mitch') has claimed in an interview that the rumors are true, with fans spotting that Ouzy has now unfollowed Kady on Instagram. So, it's safe to say there's a lot to unpack here, especially now that both Kady and Ouzy have addressed the speculation...

Does Kady McDermott have a boyfriend IRL?

Well, following Kady's string of public interviews, where she dished on her fellow islanders and dubbed Mitch a 'super fan' of the show—which Mitch confronted her about on Instagram Live in the days leading up to the Love Island reunion—Mitch gave his own interview with On Demand Entertainment on Monday, August 7, where he claimed that the boyfriend rumors were true.

He said: "You’re calling me and Ella B fake, you came in with a boyfriend. You have a boyfriend to this day."

He also added that the girls in the villa told him that Kady wore a bracelet from said 'secret boyfriend' the whole time she was there, before quipping "Your boyfriend was at your house whilst you were there and you’re calling me fake!"

As mentioned, Kady's supposed relationship was first reported by The Sun in July 2023, with the publication naming Kady's mystery man as, Liam Greer. Now, however, Kady herself has addressed all the speculation...

Taking to her Instagram story on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, she wrote: "The narrative that is circulating that I had a boyfriend whilst in the Love Island villa is categorically FALSE. My mum stayed at mine whilst I was in the villa to look after my dog and house. The media have been relentless with this narrative and it now appears others want to jump on the bandwagon too."

Seemingly referencing Mitch's recent interview, Kady added: "Speaking opinions is one thing but making such bold statements with confidence is wrong. Not only are they false, they can be very damaging."

Are Kady and Ouzy still together?

As for Kady and Ouzy's post-villa relationship, Kady also shared an update in her IG statement. 

She revealed that they are no longer seeing each other, writing: "Sadly late last night Ouzy's behavior and actions from the 30th July were brought to my attention. Ouzy is one of the lovely people I have met and I know he's remorseful but unfortunately, actions have consequences and although we are not 'official' in our relationship status, I am definitely not prepared to start a relationship off on this foot. I wish him nothing but happiness and success in his life."

She and Ouzy have now unfollowed each other on Instagram, though it's currently unclear what 'behavior' Kady was referring to in her statement—leaving fans (and us) well and truly confused.

As one indeed, Tweeted: "Are we meant to know what Ouzy did on July 30th?"

While another added:  "Guys what happened with Ouzy on July 30th??!

Following Kady's statement, Ouzy has now also shared his own (on Tuesday, August 8), in which he defended her against the 'false' rumors. He wrote: "Just wanted to say what's happened with me and Kady has NOTHING to do with her or any false rumors that have been flying about, it's because of my actions that things have ended not Kady's and I have apologized to her already, she's an amazing girl with an amazing family and doesn't deserve any of the negative messages she has received this morning!"

So, for now, it seems we've not heard the last of the dramatic saga...
