Zendaya's suit look from CinemaCon 2023 is proof that chic staples—like trousers and vests—are as versatile as they are effortless and deserve a permanent home in your capsule wardrobe.

It's official, Zendaya's outfits never miss. The actress and her stylist, Law Roach, are a match made in heaven, knocking the red carpet fits and papped street-style moments out of the park, time and time again. Fans will no doubt remember the absolute style serves we bared witness to during the Dune press tour in 2022, where Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet's fashion moments were unmatched...

Well, as of Tuesday, April 25, 2023 the pair are back at it again, with Zendaya joining her co-star, Timothée, at CinemaCon, wearing the coolest interpretation of a suit yet. The outfit was giving chic and statement simultaneously, with its wide-leg pants and backless vest, proving that business-casual is still very much in for spring—here's how to steal Zendaya's look.

Zendaya's suit outfit from CinemaCon 2023

While there was some panic in March 2023 that the legendary pairing of Law Roach and Zendaya was at an end (after the stylist announced his retirement), we are pleased to report that the collaboration lives on.

In fact, it's better than ever, with us being treated to not only that Zendaya Coachella dress moment, but now this latest business-casual ensemble—which we want in our closet, STAT.

For anyone who hasn't yet had the pleasure of seeing this fit, Zendaya wore a pair of dramatic, brown wide-leg structured pants, white pointy heels and a plunging, backless taupe vest, accessorized with a pair of gold huggie earrings. This actually isn't the first time Zendaya has rocked a suit (remember that hot pink Valentino co-ord or her 2022 Vanity Fair suit with the dramatic shoulder pads?), but this look is perhaps the most wearable IRL.

Basically, it's the occasion fit of our dreams. The look is both chic and sophisticated—the sort of outfit you'd wear to order the finest red wine on the menu, sniffing it and swirling it around in the glass, before declaring it's worthy of a full glass—paired with a hint of playfulness, from the backless top and bright white stilettos.

Tuxedo vests and pants have been having a major moment recently and what Zendaya perfectly demonstrated with this latest red carpet look is that these pieces are seriously versatile. You can dress them up with heels, or down with sneakers, for instance (we'd recommend the Adidas Samba sneakers that TikTok is loving right now). Or pair your vest over a white tee, or lose the vest and opt for a white tank top with your wide-leg trousers—the combos are endless.
