The Kylie and Jordyn drama explained: why were the former BFFs feuding?

Is there hope for Kylie and Jordyn? Onlookers spotted the two getting dinner in L.A. over the weekend

Is there hope for Kylie and Jordyn?

The friendship breakup that rocked the Kar-Jenners to their cores is seemingly reparable. After a four-year-long hiatus, the two peas in a pod were spotted grabbing dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 15.

Little is known about the excursion, other than the fact that Jordyn took to the 'gram ahead of time to post a mirror selfie in a Woods by Jordyn dress, completely burying the lede that she'd be getting together with her former best friend. Sneaky!

Does time really heal all wounds, or are we in for a major dose of backlash? If your memory is a bit fuzzy, we'll get you up to speed on the specifics of what tore these two apart in the first place.

All of the Kylie and Jordyn drama explained:

Though a lot has been going on with the famous family as of late—everyone's wondering when Kourtney is due and if she and Kim will get back into one another's good graces, how Koko's moving on after her cancer scare, if Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny are still an item, etc.—beauty mogul Kylie decided to give fans and paps something to talk about after her sushi dinner with Jordyn.

It was certainly unexpected. Four years ago, the two best friends were inseparable until Jordyn revealed that she had kissed Khloé Kardashian's then-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, at a party.

"I know I'm not the reason that Tristan and Khloe are not together," she told family friend Jada Pinkett Smith on her show, Red Table Talk. "Now this situation may have made it harder for her to want to be with him, and I understand that. But I know I'm not the reason."

Koko had some other thoughts. In a tweet, she wrote: "Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!"

About a year later, Khloé admitted during the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion that she had forgiven both parties for their behavior.

"I don’t have any grudge against Jordyn," she said. "I think people make mistakes, people live, and they learn and I forgive both parties. How could I forgive Tristan and not Jordyn? That sounds asinine in my opinion.”

Prior to the infamous scandal, and after the scandal, the basketball star was unfaithful; Tristan and Khloe are no longer together, but they share two children.

So, are Kylie and Jordyn friends again?

Neither party has commented on their Saturday-night get-together, but it would seem as though their relationship is on the mend. As for how the rest of the family feels about the reunion, we'll likely have to wait to find out.

Jordyn and Kylie, per onlookers, were joined by other friends, but if this is the first step towards healing, it would seem as if they're headed in the right direction. (Provided there were no incidents at dinner that we don't know about.)

Keep an eye on this space for updates, folks!
