What's going on between Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando?

The "Midnight Sky" singer is never one to shy away from the spotlight and telling us exactly how she feels, but it seems she's a bit more secretive as of late, particularly when it comes to her love life.

Sure, she's belted out a slew of catchy breakup songs, seemingly hinting at the end of her 10-year on-again, off-again relationship with Liam Hemsworth—who just went red carpet-official with his new leading lady...after two years of dating. But is the Disney alumna in the middle of something new? Perhaps something serious? It would appear so, according to sources.

Even though the pair has yet to publicly announce their relationship or post anything on social media, all signs point to romance.

Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando's relationship timeline

2021

It would appear that Cyrus had her eye on the the 23-year-old Liily artist when discussing festival outfits with Vogue in September 2021.

"This look is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between two of my favorite emerging artists, Maxx Morando and Shane Kastl," she told the publication of her short cropped jacket combo. "Shane used existing pieces I've collected over time and customized Maxx's cartoon characters [within] his construction. Their collaboration is the perfect example of sustainability becoming the next fashion phase, and it proves that anything can be reinvented, which resonates with me deeply."

You can look at the very Miley style below—and she even tags Maxx on Instagram. Overall, this just seemed like a very normal shoutout. Things got a little more serious several months later.

Not only did they attend the Gucci Love Parade together in November 2021, but they met up again when she and Hollywood's favorite fella, Pete Davidson, hosted a New Year's Eve party, Maxx was in attendance and the two were very excited to be in one another's company, per onlookers. She debuted her song "You," and some fans suggested that this was all for Maxx. (See part of the performance below.)

It was so brand-spanking-new (seemingly like their romance) that listeners weren't even able to download it at the time.

"This song is so new I haven’t even recorded it yet. Just wanted to do something special for YOU all," she said, according to Billboard

Hmm...is this just a timely coincidence?

After ringing in the new year together, it appears Miley and Maxx have been attached at the hip, quite literally.

2022

Sources tell E! News: "They have been together for about a year now and Miley is really happy. Everyone in her family loves them together and thinks they mesh really well."

Throughout the year they've enjoyed spending time together, but haven't shown any evidence of their list of vacations: Miami in January, Mexico in March. But when they were caught brunching in Hollywood in November, shortly after Cyrus celebrated her 30th birthday, it seemed that things were getting serious, especially considering she allegedlly left Tennessee to relocate back to Cali.

Time will tell how things unfold, but it seems the "Wrecking Ball" singer is keen on keeping things low-key this go-around. When more evidence makes its way into the world, we'll be sure to keep you posted.

In the meantime, we'll give you the scoop on other pairs that have caught our attention as of late: Maya Jama and Stormzy, Camila Cabello's new flame and, but of course, the budding Pete Davidson and Emily Ratajkowski pairing.
