Apparently, we all need to add a red dress to our capsule wardrobes this fall, as the statement is currently dominating our social feeds...

While we usually associate autumn with warm neutrals and coppery tones, celebs like Hailey Bieber, Florence Pugh and Selena Gomez are making a serious case for fiery, Hollywood red—especially in the dress department. And though we concede, the primary color is definitely loud and a tad daunting, we now have plenty of visual inspo at our disposal of how to incorporate it into your daily rotation.

So, if you're looking to enter your red dress era, here's a guide to rocking the celeb-approved hue, off the red carpet...

The best celebrity red dress moments

While lavender fashion has been having a whole moment recently, along with the silver fashion trend of recent months, it seems the dopamine dressing movement is making a dramatic return for fall, in the form of red.

And if you're doubting our trend knowledge (or need outfit inspo), just have a scroll of these recent red, celeb fits...

1. Florence Pugh

Sheer dress queen, Florence Pugh herself, is loving red right now, having opted for a crimson, satin gown at the UK Oppenheimer premiere on July 13, 2023 (which she paired with a copper hair look), before also wearing a very '70s fashion-esque jumpsuit to the Lotus European flagship launch on July 27.

Both of these fits are going straight on our list of best Florence Pugh fashion moments.

2. Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber proved that red isn't just for the red carpet, as she wore a scarlet midi dress, with flower decals, during a date night with her husband, Justin Bieber.

She paired the statement dress (which would make a perfect Valentine's Day look) with her bob hairstyle and of course, a pair of gold earrings—Hailey Bieber's earrings are a real staple.

3. Selena Gomez

And of course, we couldn't not talk about Selena Gomez's red birthday dress—with all its incredible flower decals.

4. Margot Robbie

After embodying all things Barbiecore by wearing every hue of pink in existence to all the press events for Greta Gerwig's Barbie, Margot gave us this red mini-dress moment.

She paired it with a matching red mini bag and strappy shoes and of course, her platinum Barbie blonde hair.

5. Emily Ratajkowski

Em Rata gave us another example of how red can work for every day, wearing this minimalist, red maxi dress (complete with a leg slit) whilst walking her dog in NYC.

She, like Miss Flo, paired her dress with her new copper hair, a black mini bag and some chic, black sunglasses.
