Wondering who Vanessa Hudgens' boyfriend is? Well, word on the street is that we'll soon be hearing wedding bells for Gabriella Montez herself and her sports star beau (no, it's sadly not Troy Bolton *cry*). So for anyone who needs a debrief, here's everything we know about Vanessa's dating life—past and present.

As fans will likely know from recent TikTok scrolling, The Princess Switch's Vanessa was previously in a long-term relationship with Elvis actor, Austin Butler—with their romantic history re-entering the zeitgeist, after it was revealed that the actress basically manifested his now Oscar-nominated role.

Fans were not best pleased however when—in a now-viral appearance on The Hollywood Reporter's Actors Roundtable—Austin addressed this and accredited a "friend" for encouraging him to pursue the role, as opposed to his very famous ex-Vanessa.

Despite all the recent online buzz around their relationship though, the pair have been separated for three years—Austin Butler's girlfriend is now model Kaia Gerber, and Vanessa just announced some exciting relationship news of her own, with MLB player, Cole Tucker.

Yes, it seems the rumors were in fact true, and Vanessa and Cole are engaged! But what do we know about her new fiancé (eek!)? Here's the DL on Vanessa's current romantic sitch, plus a look back at all her past relationships, from her High School Music co-star to a certain Hunger Games star...

Who is Vanessa Hudgens' boyfriend?

Vanessa's boyfriend and now fiancé, is pro-baseball player, Cole Tucker. For once when it comes to these celeb dating explainers, this is a very straightforward answer!

How long have Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker been together?

Yes, Vanessa Hudgens' partner is none other than MLB player Cole Tucker. The pair started dating in November 2020 and have now marked two years together.

Throughout their relationship, fans have been treated to a number of adorable Insta posts and tributes, from Thanksgiving dedications to festive Christmas selfies—like this gem...

As for how they crossed paths in the first place, Vanessa revealed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, back in April 2021, that they met via Zoom—how very 2020 of them! She said: "Me and Cole met on a Zoom meditation group. Very random, yes. Zoom, you've got to love it.

“He's just kind of perfect for me. I am [happy]. I really am. I think that it's also so important to stay grateful for everything that you have in life. I've been making that a priority, and I feel like it's just been making magic happen all the more.”

Are Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker engaged?

Yes, it looks like the pair are officially taking things to the next level! Rumors first began swirling on February 2, 2023—with TMZ reporting that the two were reportedly engaged.

Vanessa then confirmed the news (yay!) on February 9, taking to Insta to share a snap of her and Cole in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, with Vanessa holding up her ring finger to flash her giant rock. She then captioned the post: "YES. We couldn’t be happier 🤍".

She also graced us with a closeup of her new oval, diamond engagement ring and it's beautiful!

Who has Vanessa Hudgens dated previously?

Before her engagement to Cole, the Know Beauty mogul has been linked to a few other famous names, including her HSM co-star Zac Efron and, of course, Austin Butler.

Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler

Vanessa Hudgens and ex-boyfriend, Austin Butler dated for nine years before their split in January 2020.

Despite having split three years ago though, their relationship hit the headlines again this year, when Austin scooped a Golden Globe for his role as Elvis and during The Hollywood Reporter's Actors Roundtable, attributed a "friend" for encouraging him to pursue the role.

Sleuthing fans however unearthed an interview from Vanessa in 2019 (a year before their split) where she recounted how she was the one who seemingly manifested the film for him. Appearing on Live with Ryan and Kelly, Vanessa said: "It's so crazy because last December, we were driving along and we were listening to Christmas music, and then an Elvis Presley Christmas song came on.

“He had just dyed his hair dark, he’s a natural blonde—and I was looking at him and he was singing along and I was like, 'babe, you need to play Elvis. I don’t know how, but I’m serious. You need to play him.'"

Austin has since cleared things up in an interview with the LA Times, where he confirmed the "friend" he referred to was indeed Vanessa, adding: "We’d been together for so long and she had this sort of clairvoyant moment and so I owe her a lot for believing in me.”

Vanessa Hudgens and Joe Hutchinson

Now this one might have flown under the radar for some fans! Before her long-term relationship with Austin, Vanessa was linked to her Journey 2: The Mysterious Island co-star Josh Hutchinson—perhaps best known as Peeta from The Hunger Games.

However, neither star really ever confirmed or commented on the rumored relationship.

Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron

Now this will fill you with some good 2000s nostalgia! Vanessa famously dated her High School Music co-star and on-screen love interest, Zac Efron, in 2005.

They were basically the '00s equivalent of Tom Holland and Zendaya, as fans were just as obsessed with Troy and Gabriella's musical teen romance as they were with Vanessa and Zac IRL.

The pair dated for five years but sadly split in 2010—though in a 2019 interview on The Hollywood Reporter's Award's Chatter podcast, Vanessa made OG stans feel warm and fuzzy inside after she shared that she felt very grateful for their relationship, adding that it kept her "grounded" during her sudden leap to stardom.

She said: "We kinda blew up. It was this massive phenomenon all of a sudden, and all eyes were on me. And it’s just a really weird foreign thing to go through, and by being in a relationship, I feel like it kind of kept me stabilized and grounded, and I had someone to lean on who was going through it as well." N'aww!
