As America's pop icon fights for control over her life, many fans are asking, "Who is Britney Spears' boyfriend"? Sam Asghari first appeared in one of the singer's music videos in 2016, and the two have been linked ever since.

But after horrific claims about her controversial conservatorship emerged in court, and as the star continues to fight an uphill battle to be freed of the "abusive" guidelines, her fanbase is becoming increasingly curious about the one helping her through this difficult time.

Here's the 411 on Britney Spears’ boyfriend, Sam Asghari.

Who is Britney Spears’ boyfriend?

Sam Asghari is a 27-year-old model, personal trainer, and actor. Asghari and 39-year-old Spears first crossed paths on the set of her music video for "Slumber Party" in 2016 and soon became an item thereafter. As an actor, he's made cameos in "Black Monday" on Showtime and "Hacks" on HBO Max, to name a few.

Asghari is originally from Iran but migrated to the U.S. at 12 years old to join his father, who had moved to Los Angeles, according to Men's Health. Unfortunately, this caused him to leave behind his mother and sisters—an understandably difficult move.

It's not uncommon to see snaps of Britney pop up on his Instagram feed. From COVID-19 vaccination appointments to hiking trips and beach visits, the two seem to tackle everything together.

Britney Spears IUD and her future with Sam:

For 13 years, Britney's father Jamie Spears has been in control of her $60 million estate. Under the conservatorship, Britney is not entitled to make any decisions concerning her life, wellbeing, career, or even relationships.

Per her court-hearing reveal on June 23rd, Britney stated that she is not allowed to have control over her schedule—which affects when she sees Sam and her sons—she has been forced to perform and take medication against her will, and perhaps most frighteningly of all, she cannot make decisions about marriage or conceiving children, per The New York Times.

"I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married and have a baby," Spears said. "I have an IUD inside of myself right now, so I don't get pregnant. I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won't let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don't want me to have children—any more children."

What did Justin Timberlake say to Britney Spears?

Former *NSYNC boy bander Justin Timberlake, who famously dated Spears from 1999 to 2002, tweeted on Wednesday, June 23rd in support of his former girlfriend.

"After what we saw today, we should all be supporting Britney at this time. Regardless of our past, good and bad, and no matter how long ago it was…what’s happening to her is just not right. No woman should ever be restricted from making decisions about her own body," Timberlake posted.

He continued: "No one should EVER be held against their will… or ever have to ask permission to access everything they’ve worked so hard for."

Referring to his wife, actress-producer Jessica Biel, Timberlake wrote: "Jess and I send our love, and our absolute support to Britney during this time. We hope the courts, and her family make this right and let her live however she wants to live."

This is not the first time that Justin Timberlake has spoken out in recent months regarding Spears. Following the online vitriol aimed at the boy bander due to his past treatment of his ex, outlined in the "Framing Britney Spears" documentary, Timberlake issued a formal apology to Spears and to one-time collaborator Janet Jackson.
