As America's pop icon regains control over her life, many fans are asking: "Who is Britney Spears' fiancé"? Sam Asghari first appeared in one of the singer's music videos in 2016, and the two have been linked ever since.

But after horrific claims about her controversial conservatorship emerged in court, and as the star continues to fight an uphill battle to be freed of the "abusive" guidelines, her fanbase is becoming increasingly curious about the one helping her through this difficult time.

Here's the 411 on Britney Spears’ partner, Sam Asghari, following the news of their engagement...

Who is Britney Spears’ partner, Sam Asghari?

Sam Asghari is a 27-year-old model, personal trainer, and actor. Asghari and 39-year-old Spears first crossed paths on the set of her music video for "Slumber Party" in 2016 and soon became an item thereafter. As an actor, he's made cameos in "Black Monday" on Showtime and "Hacks" on HBO Max, to name a few.

Asghari is originally from Iran but migrated to the U.S. at 12 years old to join his father, who had moved to Los Angeles, according to Men's Health. Unfortunately, this caused him to leave behind his mother and sisters—an understandably difficult move.

It's not uncommon to see snaps of Britney pop up on his Instagram feed. From COVID-19 vaccination appointments to hiking trips and beach visits, the two seem to tackle everything together.

Sam Asghari Free Britney: How is he supporting her?

Britney Spears IUD and her future with Sam

For 13 years, Britney's father Jamie Spears has been in control of her $60 million estate. Under the conservatorship, Britney is not entitled to make any decisions concerning her life, wellbeing, career, or even relationships.

Per her court-hearing reveal on June 23rd, Britney stated that she is not allowed to have control over her schedule—which affects when she sees Sam and her sons—she has been forced to perform and take medication against her will, and perhaps most frighteningly of all, she cannot make decisions about marriage or conceiving children, per The New York Times.

"I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married and have a baby," Spears said. "I have an IUD inside of myself right now, so I don't get pregnant. I wanted to take the IUD out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won't let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don't want me to have children—any more children."

That's all now changed because the singer and Sam are now officially engaged!

When did Britney and Sam get engaged?

Following Britney’s major legal win that saw her father, James Spears, file to end her conservatorship, the couple is now engaged!

Britney revealed the news on Instagram on September 12th, 2021, with an adorable video of her and Sam showing off her gorgeous new rock. In the video he asked her: Do you like it?” to which she screamed yes. She also said in her caption: “I can’t fucking believe it 💍💍💍💍💍💍❣️!!!!!!”

Fans and famous friends rushed to congratulate her, with Paris Hilton commenting: “Congratulations love!! 😍 So happy for you! Welcome to the club! 👰🏼💍.”

Sam also shared a picture of them kissing, with Britney pointing her finger, with the ring on at the camera.

His manager Brandon Cohen confirmed the news to People, saying "The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication, and love expressed to them."

Congrats, Britney!
