As we enter the fall months, you might think it’s time to dig out your boots, but apparently, TikTok has other ideas in store for our feet. The word on the world wide web is that boots are out and clogs are in. And by clogs, we mean the Birkenstock Bostons that are going viral on TikTok and are a must for anyone building their capsule wardrobe.

We must say, we love pieces that can be worn all year round and these slip-on sandals can do just that—really! Much like the ‘coastal grandmother aesthetic,’ these Birkenstocks work for both summer, winter and everything in between.

While you might be wondering how on earth slips on clogs can work for cold weather—sit tight, we’re going to break down exactly how to style them...

Where to buy the Birkenstock Bostons

While loafers dominated in Fall 2021, it seems Birkenstock-style clogs are the IT girl shoe this year. The trendiest colors appear to be the light neutrals, with ‘Taupe’ being the most coveted shade—unsurprising they’re selling fast and are already out of stock on Birkenstocks’ website (alas the power of TikTok).

You can still snap them up in some sizes on Amazon though and in warm cream and pastel greys shades. We recommend the suede pair in ‘clay’ as it’s very similar to the Taupe.

In all our TikTok sleuthing, we’ve spotted that the fashion savvy are pairing their clogs with loose, smart pants or wide-leg jeans and thick socks. It seems socks and sandals are not a style sin when it comes to these shoes—infact the combo looks damn cute.

We suggest buying some thick, white, cream and grey-marl socks to pair with your Bostons.
