July 2010: They meet for the first time

The couple famously met on the set of Green Lantern, with Ryan starring as the Green Lantern and Blake as his on-screen love interest. Though their own love story didn't start here, as they were both in relationships with other people.

Blake was dating her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgley and Ryan was still married to MCU star Scarlett Johansson.

Late 2011

Both now single, they reconnected on a double date which Ryan once jokingly described to Entertainment Weekly as very 'awkward' for the other couple, as fireworks were flying between him and Blake.

From that point on, the rest was history!

September 2012: They marry

The pair secretly tied the knot in South Carolina—though controversially they had the ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation, which Ryan has since apologized for.

October 2014: Baby number one

In 2014, Blake announced that they were expecting their first baby on her lifestyle website Preserve (which is no longer exists).

Blake then gave birth to their first daughter James, in January 2015.

In an interview with GQ magazine, Ryan gave a very rare insight into the pairs very private relationship. He recalled the precise moment when he realised Blake was 'the one.'

He said: "We were hanging out at this little restaurant in Tribeca that's open really late, and this song came on and I was just like, 'Want to dance?' No one was in there, so it was just totally empty.

"And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, 'Oh, I think I just crossed a line.' And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that."
