Cobalt blue is the latest nail trend we’re seeing everywhere
Blue is a mood

So far the nail trends predictions for 2022 are proving true, especially in the case of Cobalt blue. This bold color has been dominating our nail inspo Pinterest boards and social media feeds and is the perfect, chic manicure to add a dose of dopamine and color to your outfit.
Unlike 2021, where yellow was the most popular nail color of the year and neutrals and various shades of green were everywhere, it seems 2022 is the year of blue—and we're here for it.
According to Peacci, a vegan-friendly nail polish brand, searches for blue nail polish have soared by 70%. And while the bold color might seem intimidating—it’s actually seriously wearable and effortlessly cool.
They have reported it will be a huge hit for Spring / Summer, with the most popular shades including Prussian Blue, Cobalt (also known as Electric Blue), and Blueberry.

Cobalt is a rich shade of blue—a lot like royal blue. It’s bold and deep and adds brightness to your hands and your outfit. If you ask us, it’s perfect for all seasons because it’s a cooler blue, so good for cold weather but also bright, so ideal for spring and summer.
How to wear the Cobalt blue nail trend?
We love the thought of wearing cobalt blue as a french tip. It's the perfect way to dip your, erm nails, into the trend. It's ideal for those that prefer minimal manicures and worry the blue might be too much for your hands, or if you already wear bold colors and do not want too much of a clash.

Great creative with your manicure. Using Cobalt in an abstract pattern is a fun way to play with the trend, it’s perfect for parties or for summer days. We just can’t tell you how much we adore this color.

Our favorite way to wear this trend is to just go full blue—use the color all over your nails and maybe even your toes and embrace the regal color.
