While dark red nails have been tipped as the must-have manicure for fall, nothing really beats classic brown nail designs when cozy, Gilmore Girls weather rolls around.

Indeed, if you're someone who feels an affinity with fall, more so than any other season, now is the perfect time to rep an autumnal shade. And it definitely doesn't hurt that a few brown shades are already trending as Quiet Luxury nail colors—from burnt oranges to warm, wine-like hues.

So, to help you enter your Autumn gal era, here are seven of the chicest brown manicures you're about to see everywhere—plus our brown nail polish recommendations to help you achieve the looks at home...

The 7 brown nail designs that give chic fall vibes

As mentioned, like with these bright red nails, classic and simple brown hues are also taking center stage for fall. In fact, it seems long and elaborate nails and designs are very much out, in favor of short, squared shapes and block colors that just ooze sophistication—even French tips seem to be on the decline right now!

And in case you need inspo or some reference pics to take to your nail artist, here are seven of our current fave brown manicures...

1. Short Dark brown nails

These short, dark brown nails—like with dark maroon hues—are soo in right now. It's the perfect manicure to pair with your favorite jackets and knits and is sure to elevate your work capsule wardrobe.

Plus it's easy to recreate at home and maintain. We'd suggest two to three coats of dark brown nail polish for a rich and streak-free payoff!

2. Milk chocolate nails

For a slightly more neutral look, this honey-brown shade also brings all the autumn vibes. We'd again, suggest keeping your nails short and squared but this color would also look great when applied to almond, mid-length nails.

3. Brown glitter nails

If you're bored of minimalist colors, this molten shimmering chestnut look is perfect for Halloween and even the festive period. It also gives us pumpkin spice vibes and if that isn't autumnal enough, we don't know what is.

For the ultimate shimmer payoff, be sure to top this color with a glossy top coat and cuticle oil!

4. Almost black nails

Warm and dark colors are always a no-brainer when it comes to the colder months in both the fashion and manicure department, so you can't go wrong with this grungy, almost black hue.

It's sleek, sophisticated and will help you look and feel very put together—plus, it's so easy to do at home.

5. Cabernet nails

Since dark red nails are having such a renaissance right now, we couldn't not include a brownish burgundy hue. This is a true signature manicure and right now and our team have even found a Rouge Noir dupe that will save $22...

6. Burnt orange nails

If you're wanting to inject a slight pop of color to your look, or want a break from the dark tones, this burnt orange is a great in between and will make for a very easy Halloween nail design to boot!

7. Chocolate 'Glazed' nails

Now of course, Hailey Bieber's glazed donut nails have dominated the trends for the best part of two years now and if haven't had the chance to try her "chocolate glaze" nails, now's the time!

To achieve that iconic pearly shimmer, you can either apply a sheer shimmery polish overtop or a chrome powder (like this one from Amazon), followed by a glossy top coat, to lock in all that glazed goodness.
