A new year means out with the old and in with the new, especially when it comes to trends. For all you beauty lovers out there we have so many 2022 beauty trends to try out—but the one we’re most excited about is eye rhinestones.

What are eye rhinestones you ask? Well, it’s as the name suggests, rhinestones or little crystals doted around your eyes to create the perfect glittery statement.

If you’re a Euphoria fan you will know exactly what we mean, especially when it comes to Euphoria season two. Fans loved the makeup from the first season so much, Euphoria makeup artist Donni Davy launched face decals, inspired by the show.

Now you can also spot fans trying out the new shimmery looks everywhere on TikTok and Instagram—and we must say, we’re very into it.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to creating an eye look with these gems, just typing in ‘euphoria makeup’ into your TikTok search will leave you with a plethora of tutorials and makeup looks.  With many TikTokers taking Cassie as inspiration, creating a futuristic diamonte wing.

Our favorite, low-key way to incorporate them into your makeup look—which is super wearable for a date or night out—is just one rhinestone in the middle of your lower lid, almost like a single teardrop.

You can also opt for a 60s look by lining the crease of your eyes with them. Or dot them randomly around the lid for a minimal starry vibe.

We can’t describe what is so effortlessly cool and sexy about them, maybe it’s just our 00s nostalgia rearing its head again. But it’s not just us—we’ve spotted the likes of Lizzo, Dua Lipa, and even Instagram IT girl Matilda Djerf rocking the trend.

If done correctly though, eye rhinestones can give you a sparkly but subtle focal point, or an all-out glamorous statement that works for whatever your style or age.

Another bonus is they're so easy, all you need is some face or eyelash glue, little crystals, and some tweezers!
