Savage X Fenty is selling open-back crotchless leggings and the internet can’t cope

Yes, you heard us right—Savage X Fenty is selling leggings that feature an open, strappy back that perfectly shows off what social media users are calling the “butt-cleavage”. They’re also crotchless and made of soft mesh fabric.

The leggings are available in lilac and black, and in sizes XS to 3X. They're also high-waisted and sheer.

The leggings sent the internet into meltdown, with many people confused and divided by the design. One Twitter user wrote: “This is where I draw the line.”

Another commenter tweeted: ”Just saw those new Rihanna leggings and I swear celebrities forget not everyone has a gym in their home who is even supposed to wear those??!”

Others said they were very sexy and unique, with one TikToker user under the name @Sweet_thaang calling for us to “normalize the butt-cleavage.”

The source of the debate seems to be the idea that the playful leggings are intended as gym wear, and although the braver souls among us could wear them as such, and look great, the website doesn’t say they are intended as activewear.

In fact, in the description it says they’re perfect “for the cozy night in”. So really they’re no different from any other lingerie or intimate piece of clothing, apart from being leggings. 

If the 5-star reviews are anything to go by, Savage shoppers have been loving them. 

One customer summed it up perfectly saying: “It is pretty clear these aren't the type of leggings you are going to wear to the grocery store, but as something sexy and different for around the house or to sleep in? These are unique, flattering and really pretty! I love the back detail and even the crotch-less design, you can wear panties under them or go commando and both are comfy options.”

Another shopper said they’re amazing to sleep in and added: “They're the perfect cross between sexy and comfortable. Not to mention the crotch-less feature. I ordered a second pair.”
