Though 'glazed donut' nails have hogged the spotlight for the best part of two years now, a new pastel hue is gaining traction for summer 2023, with blue nail trends popping up everywhere.

From Tiffany blue and Mermaidcore-inspired 'sea glass' nails to the latest 'blueberry milk' mani, these beachy shades are certainly making a big impression—especially, it seems, amongst some of our fave A-listers. The likes of Zendaya and Sofia Richie have jumped on the trend and even the chrome nail trendsetter, Hailey Bieber, has repped the bright, aquatic color lately.

So, if you're wanting to have beachy, summer vibes at your fingertips—here's a roundup of the most popular blue nail trends, currently making waves...

Best blue nail looks for summer 2023

While 'strawberry glazed' nails and 'lip gloss' nails have been dominating our For You Pages (not to mention our manicure Pinterest boards), blue is clearly the color of summer 2023. So, for anyone wanting to jump on the blue nail movement, these are the biggest manicure trends taking over right now...

1.'Tiffany' blue nails

Celebs like Hailey Bieber have been loving the 'Tiffany' blue nail look lately. In fact, Hails' go-to nail artist has even shared exactly how to recreate the blue chrome look, inspired by the iconic jewelry house.

The design features Tiffany's famous aquamarine blue, with a shimmery, pearlescent powder over the top. It also works without the chrome dust, if you wanted a really simple nail look.

2. 'Blueberry Milk' nails

'Blueberry milk' is the manicure sweeping TikTok right now, with endless videos of users showing off their creamy, pastel blue nails.

This trend doesn't involve any intricate designs, it's all about one block color, which features hints of creamy blue and purple—inspired by, you guessed it, a blueberry. The look gives blueberry yogurt vibes in the best way and is just subtle enough to be a staple color for summer and beyond, that won't clash with any of your outfits. It's also one of those rare mani looks that you can recreate at home with ease!

3. 'Sea Glass' nails

Sea glass nails are also having a moment and we can likely thank Disney's live-action The Little Mermaid for this one. The trend sees you rock a semi-sheer blue/green hue, that has a slightly cloudy effect—like sea glass.

This look is perfect if you're heading off on a beach-side escape this summer or just want a mani to compliment your new 'Mermaidcore' perfume!

4. The blue French tip

A classic blue French tip is also very popular right now and works for both the office and for your vacation. It's ideal for those who want a subtle and minimal look, while still sporting a pop of summery color.

5. Pool water nails

Much like the 'Blueberry milk' manicure, Pool water nails are blowing up on TikTok right now, as an ode to summers spent lounging, poolside.

Alas, they're a little more complicated to recreate, compared to the rest, but the effect is so cool, as they're supposed to replicate rippling, turquoise waters.

6. Aura nails

These pastel blue and navy Emma Chamberlain nails are perfect for someone who wants to put a more edgy twist on this blue mani movement. As we can see, her nails are aura-like, with the majority of the nail boasting a light, icy blue with a navy border.

We can't wait to rep one of these blue hues this season!
