Celebrities really do wield incredible powers of persuasion when it comes to hair trends and styles. We’ve seen the likes of Miley Cryus make the wolf-cut go viral, and Hailey Bieber make ‘expensive brunette’ the new bleach blonde. Now say hello to the ‘Money piece’ hair trend, brought to us by Lizzo, Jennifer Lawrence, and even Beyoncé.

Yes, you heard right, even Beyoncé has given this look her seal of approval, meaning you better get your salon on the phone—because you need this hairstyle.

If you're in need of a hair change, but don't want to strip and damage your hair too much, this could be the perfect trend for you...

What is the 'Money-Piece' hair trend?

The 'Money-Piece' trend is seriously chic but very low-key and subtle. It consists of two streaks of honey blonde (or any color really) at the front of your hair, framing your face and adding a hint of warmth.

It’s perfect for the brunette babes among us who want to add a bit of flair to their hair and add some more dimension. It’s literally the easiest way to give your locks a little lift, especially if you have darker hair, without damaging or drying out the majority of your hair.

Besides the fact that it looks so effortlessly cool, this style is also so easy to replicate and really works with any hair color. If you’re skilled with at-home dying, you could even create this look at yourself by carefully sectioning out the front of your hair— but we recommend seeking the help of a professional!

Here we see that she has shorter, face-framing layers that have been dyed blonde, but the beauty of the money-piece trend is it works for long or short hair and even side bangs. It’s just all about that hint of lighter hair around your face.
