So while we bide our time 'til The Batman hits our screens, let's take look behind-the-scenes at this very private pairing’s relationship.

Suki Waterhouse is an English model, actress, and singer. You’ll recognize her from shows and movies like The Bad Batch, Love Rosie, and the Divergent series.

She has modeled for brands including Burberry, Redken and Laura Mercier, and currently runs an accessories brand called Pop & Suki, alongside her close friend Poppy Jamie.

So how long have the pair been dating? The famous couple are very private, but were first spotted together in July 2018, after E! News snapped them walking and kissing. If our maths is correct, that means they’ve likely been together for four years now.

Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse relationship timeline:

July 2018: The first sighting

The pair were first spotted getting cozy together by E! News. From then on the couple were pictured together just a handful of times.

April 2019: R Patz made his views on privacy clear...

When asked about his rumored relationship with Waterhouse by The Sunday Times, Pattinson made it evident that they wanted their relationship to be private.

He said in the interview in April 2019: “Do I have to [talk about her]? If you let people in, it devalues what love is. If a stranger on the street asked you about your relationship, you’d think it extremely rude. If you put up a wall it ends up better...I can’t understand how someone can walk down the street holding hands, and it’s the same as when I do it and a hundred people are taking your photo.”

June 2019: A surprise double date we didn’t know we needed

The couple was spotted on a double date with none other than Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn! According to US Weekly, the foursome enjoyed a dinner date together. And it seems like they've taken a leaf out of Pattinson and Waterhouse's book with regards to their relationship—despite being pictured together frequently, Swift and Alwyn share Pattinson's thoughts on keeping their relationships out of the public eye.

May 2020: Doing lockdown together

In an interview with GQ about his casting in Christopher Nolan’s The Batman, Pattinson revealed the two were staying together in London during the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown.

October 2020: Engagement rumors

After quarantining together, a source told E! that the couple were continuing to go from strength to strength—and alleged that an engagement was on the cards at some point.

They said: “Rob and Suki have definitely discussed getting engaged but are in no rush. Suki is not pressuring him and they are both very committed to each other.”

April 2021: Photographic evidence that they’re still very much ON

Suki Waterhouse shared a selfie it Instagram, where eagle-eyed fans spotted a framed picture of what looks like her and R Patz kissing in the background.

One fan commented: “The closest she’ll ever get to posting a picture of him.”

February 2022: Suki approves of The Batman

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel, Pattinson revealed that he had taken Waterhouse to the premiere of his latest blockbuster, and had been carefully monitoring her reaction.

He said: “It was really her reaction that kind of changed the entire thing because I'm pretty sure she's not normally into watching superhero movies. And just seeing that it was capturing her attention the entire time and then she held my hand and touched it [to her face] and I could feel a little tear. And I was like, 'No way!'”—Cute!

Suki hasn't appeared to attend any Batman premieres so far—but we're sure she's proudly watching on from home. These two many be one of our favorite low-key couples!
