She's attached to Paul Mescal in Foe, but Saoirse Ronan's IRL dating situation isn't quite as clear off-screen. What's happening in the actress's romantic life? Good luck getting her to open up—she'd much prefer to leave fans guessing.

The 29-year-old Oscar nominee (Lady Bird, Little Women) tends to keep things private (unlike her more forthright peers like Keke Palmer), but we're definitely curious about her relationship past, including her rumored current partnership with a certain British actor.

We did some sleuthing so you don't have to. Here's everything we know about the Irish actor's love life.

Saoirse Ronan dating history: a look back at her romances

Though there's not much that the star has publicly said about her own dating history, we did catch onto a common theme in Saoirse Ronan's romantic past: she tends to fall for co-stars.

1. George MacKay (2013)

Though neither party has acknowledged their off-screen romance, Saoirse Ronan and George MacKay were allegedly an item after wrapping up filming on the 2013 romantic drama How I Live Now.

"What happened during the course of the film, and I'm hoping that I'm not speaking out of turn, is that they fell in love and it was very easy," the film's director Kevin Macdonald told The Irish Mirror. "It was Saoirse's first proper boyfriend and, in a way, I think she was living through the same thing that the character is going through."

Guess life imitates art (even if she didn't want to necessarily admit it)!

2. Hozier (2017)

Once again, details about the courtship are murky, but Ronan was linked to Irish singer-songwriter Hozier in 2017 after appearing in the emotional music video for his song "Cherry Wine."

3. Jack Lowden (2020-present)

Ronan was first spotted getting cozy with 33-year-old Scottish actor Jack Lowden—who she co-starred with in the 2018 historical drama, Mary Queens of Scots—in London in early 2020. Though they seemed to have kept their business to themselves, Lowden did admit that he was excited to work with the actor on the film.

"She’s lovely . . . I can’t wait for that. It’s going to be fun," he said of filming, according to Page Six. In an Instagram account that has since been deleted, Lowden posted photos with Ronan, one of which was in the port town of Leith along the ocean. The caption read, "I sea ya good looking...".

Though neither party seems keen to discuss specifics, the twosome seemingly did publicly acknowledge their ongoing relationship by venturing out together for the Australian Open tennis competition in 2022.

In a new Instagram page, Lowden captured a shot of Ronan in May 2023 during a visit to Seoul, South Korea. Though her own profile is not visible to the public, onlookers were quick to spot the beloved actor in his post.

"Welcome Jack and Saoirse!!!" one user commented. Another chimed in with: "Wish you and Sersh enjoy all moments in Korea."

Perhaps we'll get a sneak peek of the two when they hit the upcoming red-carpet premiere of Foe alongside Ronan's co-star Paul Mescal? (Hey, we're being hopeful.)

Until then, uncover the nitty gritty deets of the Olivia Rodrigo dating sitch, Emma Chamberlain's boyfriend status, and Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny's latest romantic happenings.
