Who knew zodiac flowers were a thing? We all (well, most people) love a big bunch of flowers to brighten the room, especially when we’re spending more time in the house. It can be calming and cozy to have some fresh blooms nearby.

But according to online florist Serenata Flowers, there’s a certain flower that’s best suited to each star sign. So, whether it’s a gift for a friend or a treat just for you, now you can choose your flowers according to your star sign.

Zodiac flowers: the best blooms for your star sign

Aries flower (March 21 - April 20): Honeysuckle

Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac, which means it’s a symbol of new beginnings.

Rams are known for being assertive, and this is reflected in their birth flowers—thistles and honeysuckle—because they bloom in "bold colours during the early spring,” according to Serenata Flowers.

Taurus flower (April 21 - May 21): Lilies

Taureans tend to laugh a lot and enjoy life to the full. They enjoy being "overwhelmed with love", which is why their birth flower is the heavily fragrant lily.

Gemini flower (May 22 - June 21): Lavender

Playful and artistic, Geminis will love a bouquet that matches those characteristics. This is why lavender flowers should be your go-to for a Gemini.

"Its vivid purple color and attractive smell synergize with Gemini’s natural charisma and irresistible charm."

Cancer flower (June 22 - July 22): White roses

Warm, friendly and sweet are often traits seen in Cancerians.

"Moon-child Cancer will feel a sense of serenity with white flowers—especially white roses. The delicate white petals are symbolic of Cancer’s inner sensitivity. White is a significant color for Cancer as it offers a blank canvas that allows Cancer’s creativity to flourish and bloom."

Leo flower (July 23 - August 23): Sunflowers

According to the flower experts, Leos are partial to sunflowers because of their outgoing and outlandish personalities.

"Enjoy a burst of sunlight from these bright flowers that will remind admirers of Leo’s happy demeanor."

Virgo flower (August 24 - September 22): Chrysanthemums

Virgos are known for being perfectionists who have an eye for detail, which is why "petite flowers such as chrysanthemums" are the perfect choice for them. These can be mixed with larger blooms for the perfect bouquet.

Libra flower (September 23 - October 23): Roses

Sociable, gentle with a hint of seduction—according to Serenata, “Librans have a clear sense of right and wrong, and are often incredibly balanced, much like a perfectly composed rose. The color blue also holds special meaning for Libras so why not give a rose bouquet, interlaced with smaller blue buds, as a gift for your Libra loved one.”

Scorpio flower (October 24 - November 22): Geraniums

Passionate, intellectual and filled with mystery, Scorpios are known for being dark horses, and often feel "a connection to dark red flowers such as geraniums".

Sagittarius flower (November 23 - December 21): Carnations

"Lovable Sagittarius feels most connected to popular carnations. Pretty and uncomplicated, carnations are sure to add a feminine touch to any home and put a smile on a Sagittarian's face. Carnations are most commonly associated with wedding flowers, which corresponds perfectly with Sagittarius’ love of love."

Capricorn flower (December 22 - January 19): Pansies

Pansies correspond to "tenacious Capricorns", as they often return year after year and spread larger with each season. Like "determined and hardworking Capricorns", also pansies seem to get better with age.

Aquarius flower (January 20 - February 18): Orchids

Those with an Aquarius sign are both kind and spontaneous. They enjoy embarking on new adventures, are highly affected by their surroundings, becoming "energetic when they are in the comfort of friends"—much like delicate orchids.

Pisces flower (February 19 - March 20): Water lilies

With the Piscean connection to water—their Zodiac symbol being a fish, and all—it shouldn't come as a surprise that their flower also has an aquatic connection.

Like Pisces, water lilies are artistic and whimsical in their approach to life. "They often find themselves floating along, enjoying the ride and they share this sense of fun with everyone they meet", the flower experts say.
