What should I be for Halloween based on my star sign?
Considering we gauge the solar system's movements for plenty of other areas of our lives, we think our sun, moon, and rising signs just might be hiding a few important details about our 2023 Halloween looks. Just a hunch! Here's what Price and Mason Richardson suggest.
Aries: A Firefighter
As Mason Richardson notes, "Aries is the spark that lights the flame" and Price insists that the beloved fire sign burns hot for all that it loves. If there's a particular character or theme you're really passionate about, give it 110% with extra makeup, fun props, and bold garments. If you want to stick to the fire theme, there's an obvious choice.
Of Aries, Mason Richardson says, "Its powerful ability to get things started is threatened only by its tendency to burn too hard, too fast. Scorching that which was never intended to burn. So, be a firefighter—keep those flames in check."
Taurus: A Skeleton
Sure a Taurus could get a bad rep for traits like stubbornness, but Mason Richardson insists that just means they want to keep things within their control. And yes, comfort is key, so don't worry about overdoing it with an outfit that doesn't even allow you to move. Opt for something classic that never goes out of style.
"Choose a costume that keeps you in your comfort zone," she suggests.
Gemini: Wednesday Addams
ZIW Women Wednesday Addams Dress
RRP: $28.99
While we patiently wait for a return to Nevermore Academy in Wednesday season 2, channel the school's fearless heroine in her signature color and white collar dress adorned with mini skulls.
"Your ruling planet, Mercury, will be in a very favorable position, meaning you will be feeling your best self. So choose an outfit in a color scheme that makes you feel good," Price suggests. "For example, if you love dark colors and gothic makeup, then embrace your inner Wednesday Addams."
Hey Alexa, play "Goo Goo Muck" by The Cramps.
Cancer: Harley Quinn
"You may find yourself feeling very sensual around this time, so embrace that energy in your look. Try putting your own sexy twist on iconic film villain," Price suggests.
Though it's definitely the year of Barbie, this water sign might want to embrace another one of Margot Robbie's characters: Miss Harley Quinn.
Leo: Lady Gaga
As you're well aware, Leos thrive in the spotlight, so why not embrace those characteristics on October 31st?
"Leo’s love being the center of attention. They just do. And I would not at all be surprised if there were more Leos on stage than any other sign," Mason Richardson says. "So, embrace your desire for the spotlight. Treat Halloween like a red carpet event and be a celebrity."
What celebrity has more Leo energy than Mother Monster? We'll wait.
Virgo: Pennywise
"Your detail-oriented personality will thrive with a costume where you can get the little things right," Price says. "Characters with intricate costumes will work well for you, such as Pennywise."
Grab a red balloon to tie the look together and no one in your vicinity will go anywhere near you—or the sewer!
Libra: A Hippie
"Libra loves keeping the peace," Mason Richardson says. "You can see both sides and bring balance to any situation."
For all things peace and love, we suggest going the '70s route as a hippie.
Scorpio: A Witch
We sure hope you have some crystals and a cauldron on hand. Things are about to get witchy for Scorpios.
"Every Scorpio has some witchy magic inside just itching to break free. So for this Halloween, be a witch," Mason Richardson says. "Embrace the one day of the year where you can fully out yourself without risking the stake."
Sagittarius: A Devil
This fire sign is headed straight for hell to meet the head of the house.
"Being a fire sign, you will find you have the most fun this Halloween wearing something that unleashes your inner devil," Price says. "Be on the nose with your costume."
Capricorn: A Detective
We have a few clues about your 2023 costume lineup! It's time to unleash your inner sleuth.
"Capricorns always know how to get from point A to point B," says Mason Richardson. "You see all the paths that everyone’s ever walked, and you’re an expert at following their trail. You are on their trail, quite literally. So, be a detective. Ready to follow the trail to the top."
Aquarius: A Disco Jumpsuit
Your creativity will be at its peak around Halloween, so don't be afraid to put this into practice and get crafty! Choose something very Halloweeny but add lots of bling," Price notes.
Mason Richardson adds, "Aquarians always seem to be ahead of their time. They are innovators who bring new ways of being to the world. Some say they’re actually bringing this information from somewhere else. Almost like they hold the wisdom of the stars themselves."
Pisces: Barbie
It's all about the nostalgia for you, Dear Pisces. Tap into your childhood this spooky season.
"You will be feeling very playful around Halloween, so unleash your inner child by picking a favorite childhood character or game," Price suggests.
What's more appropriate than our favorite leading lady, Barbie?
