So, what exactly is going on between Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus?

Hint: Pete Davidson appears to be stuck in the middle

Is there trouble in paradise for Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus—a.k.a. Pete Davidson's leading ladies? It sure seems that way.

Now that the Kim Kardashian Taylor Swift feud has been put to rest at long last, it appears the SKIMS founder has set her sights on a Swiftie cohort, and it's all because of her new beau.

A bit confused? Don't sweat it: we'll map it all out.

Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus: what's going on?

The world was taken aback when news of Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's love affair became public. From amusement park visit to Staten Island pitstops—and currently a vacation in the Bahamas—the Saturday Night Live funnyman and the reality star are the power couple we didn't see coming.

But what does that mean for the other woman in Davidson's life? BFF Miley Cyrus has thrown a few digs at her buddy regarding his new relationship. She jokingly sang "It Should've Been Me" on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on December 10, 2021, when she and Davidson stopped by to promote their New Year's Eve special.

Following said special, Kardashian has unfollowed Cyrus on Instagram, according to Page Six. The publication also stated that the 41-year-old had only just started following the singer on December 10, 2021 (the date of the Fallon appearance). All in all, the social media connection didn't last long.

What does that mean for the two IRL? Are they secretly fighting over the SNL jokester? Did Cyrus' on-camera jokes go too far? Is this all just simply blown out of proportion?

Time will tell how it all unfolds for the lovebirds and the "Party in the U.S.A." singer. But let's be honest, fans are busy focusing on other Kardashian happenings...like Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's alleged wedding plans.
