Love Island's new bombshell Leah Taylor is best friends with a former Love Island legend

The Love Island UK 2023 cast keeps getting better and better, with new bombshells coming in—including brand new islander Leah Taylor, who came in on Monday, June 12 (need to catch up? But it turns out that before she entered the villa, she was already really good friends with another (former) islander—none other than Love Island icon, Maura Higgins.

This year's islanders aren't short of famous connections—Zachariah's sister Snoochie Shy is a famous radio DJ and TV present who's also good friends with the host of the show, Maya Jama; Molly Marsh's mother is a soap actor and she apparently used to date Tommy Fury (who was actually one of Maura's romantic interests when she was in the villa); and Tyrique's dad is a former soccer player. But now we can add Leah to the list too...

Leah Taylor and Maura Higgins' friendship

Judging by their Instagram profiles, new Love Island UK bombshell Leah Taylor and former islander Maura Higgins are really good friends. The two recently vacationed together just a few months ago in Dubai (February 2023) and frequently comment on each other's Instagram posts, hyping each other up like besties usually do.

Under Leah's vacation picture dump, Maura complimented her looks, writing: "Carved by the gods". Leah on the other hand commented "Love you lots 🫶🏼" under Maura's post. Cute!

So far, Maura has not publicly supported her friend but given that Leah only entered the villa yesterday, it's still early days...
