In between searching for the best shampoo bars and newest beauty launches, we love nothing more than a celeb hair transformation - and Lizzo has not disappointed.

Debuting an amazing new look for the New Year, Lizzo takes the win for 2021, with her new crimped, 90’s style, blonde locks.

Treating us all to a series of slaying pool-side photos on Instagram, Lizzo rocks a fabulous multicolored fluffy bikini to show off her blonde locks and we just can't get enough. Captioning one of the posts “New Year resolution: have your cake and eat it too” is the kind of resolution we can get behind.

Lizzo’s hairstylist Shelby Swan is responsible for several of Lizzo’s most iconic looks, and for this, she paired the platinum wig with a retro, 90’s crimp. Alongside dewy makeup and big lashes, who would have thought crimped hair could look so chic?

The queen of confidence reminds us that even though 2020 was bad, we can still rock a bikini or new beauty look this year, even if it’s just in our living rooms.

How to get Lizzo's blonde look

Though we wouldn’t advise bleaching your own hair, you can try a brighter look with highlights if you're able to get to the hairdresser. One thing that can be done at home though is crimping - buy yourself a crimper, and get to work carefully sectioning out pieces of hair and closing the crimper down to create a zig-zag effect.

Then throw on some lip gloss and pair with a set of faux lashes to make yourself feel Lizzo-esque glam. All that’s left to do is find something with fur and embody Lizzo’s energy.
