'Love Island' fans think Gemma wants her ex Jacques back

It didn't take up to five minutes for the drama to unfold on Tuesday night's episode of Love Island UK 2022. 

Just after the villa said goodbye to Afia, Gemma Owen mistakenly called Luca Bish 'Jacques'. In case you forgot, Jacques O'Neill is Gemma's ex-boyfriend who recently entered the villa (here's how to watch Love Island UK if you need to catch up).

To make matters worse, Gemma then giggled about it with Jacques, who then told her that she needs to speak with Luca. The drama didn't last too long though, as Gemma did end up apologizing to Luca... even though the apology gave 'just get over it' vibes.

While the islanders moved on to choosing Andrew and Tasha for the first hideaway of the series, many fans took to Twitter to state their beliefs that Gemma wants her ex Jacques back.

One person said: "Gemma is looking for a way out. She wants to leave that man for her ex just watch #LoveIsland."

Sharing a photo of an excited expression, a second wrote: "Me knowing that GEMMA STILL LOW KEY WANT A PIECE OF EX #LoveIsland."

"Gemma is a woman who knows what she wants and I back it. I too would want my ex back," another said.

Others commented: "Gemma needs to admit that she wants her ex back #LoveIsland," "Gemma wants her ex back lool #LoveIsland," and "I’m calling it, Gemma’s heart will race more for Jacques than Lucas #LoveIsland."

Another awkward moment during the episode was when all the ladies received morning coffees from their men, except Ekin-Su. 

Davide didn't provide Ekin-Su with morning beverages, despite pretending to be a butler for her and Jacques a couple of nights before. 

Hurt that she didn't get her morning coffee, Ekin-Su stated her concerns to the other girls and even cried about it in the beach hut. Davide then revealed to Andrew that he was unsure about him and Ekin-Su's relationship and felt that although he was physically attracted to her, there was no emotional connection.

Certainly an episode of islanders feeling confused about their partners, Indiyah also spoke with Amber and Tasha about her concerns regarding Ikenna. Indiyah said that she felt the two never had deep conversations or much to talk about. 

We have to say, it wasn't a surprise that Indiyah felt this way. While we do have high hopes for her and Ikenna, there just hasn't appeared to be much chemistry between them. 

After the challenge, which showcased the guys trying to be 'sexy' mechanics while carrying their ladies, Amber let Ikenna know that he had to up his game. Shout out to Amber—she's a good friend!

Due to completing the challenge, the islanders were awarded with a party. However not long after, they got a shock, as two new guys (Remi and Jay) casually walked into the villa.

Ekin-Su then began chatting with Jay and got very excited when he revealed that he was 28 and worked in finance. We'll just say that Davide didn't look too happy. But what does he expect when he picks and chooses when to show Ekin-Su attention?
