On the quest for the perfect eyebrow shape to suit your face? Who better to listen to for tips than the woman who looks after the brows of the Kardashians, Hailey Bieber and Michelle Obama?

Anastasia Soare, founder of legendary make-up brand Anastasia Beverly Hills, once shared some of her secrets with PEOPLE, and it's basically all you need to know to get your perfect brow shape.

The brand is of course famous for iconic brow products such as the Brow Wiz Pencil and DIPBROW Pomade, and has just launched its first clear brow wax, Brow Freeze. And just last week, both Justin and Hailey Bieber visited Anastasia to get their brows in shape – so you know she really is the best in the biz.

“When I went to art school in Romania, we learned the Golden Ratio Technique Theory, which taught us that when you draw a portrait and want to show an emotion, you change the eyebrows,” Soare told the publication back in 2019. “They are the most important feature on the face.” We couldn't agree more.

This was in fact what inspired the Brow Queen’s signature technique, aptly named the “Golden Ratio Eyebrow Shaping Method”.

How to get the perfect eyebrow shape

So, what are the golden rules for the perfect eyebrow shapes, we hear you ask? “The eyebrow should begin above the middle of the inside of the nostril,” Soare explained. “The end of the eyebrow should be at the outside of the corner of the nose [lined up with] the outside corner of the eye.

“The middle of the iris should be lined up with the highest point of the eyebrow. That’s the general rule no matter what face shape you have, or how big or how small the eyes are.”

Consider it committed to memory.
