Rosalía's new Nike Air Force 1 Espadrilles will be the shoe of the summer

We’ll be stocking up for sure!

Get extra excited for summer because Rosalía has just teamed up with one of our best workout clothes and sneakers brands, Nike, on a truly epic footwear collab.

The La Noche de Anoche singer shared a video of herself putting on a new pair of the Nike Air Force 1's, but the latest version differs from the classic as it comes with espadrille rope detailing on the sole and long, ribbon-like laces.

Rosalía captioned the post "AF1 ESPADRILLE," which earned her a rare comment from sneakerhead Mike "Upscale Vandal" Camargo.

The unreleased AF1’s shown in her post have a white canvas upper with white swoosh tick and rubber gum sole. The extra-long, wide-brim laces are part of the new signature style, which Rosalía has wrapped around her ankle like typical espadrilles.

And if that isn’t cool enough, the words "We just did it, Rosalía" are written on the inside sole, keeping the drop exclusive.

The video is accompanied by a series of pictures that includes Salvador Dalí, the famed surrealist artist and self-proclaimed espadrille fan. Dalí wore the traditional cotton shoes with as much poise and style as Rosalía.

Both Dalí and Rosalía were born in the Catalonia region of Spain, making it known that the Nike collaboration is a fresh celebration of their shared culture.

Fans itching for the AF1’s can grab the classic white kicks on Nike's website, but alas, there are currently no details on a release date for the espadrille versions.

Before the AF1 collection, Rosalía also appeared in Nike campaigns in July 2020, modelling the Air Max 2090. It comes as no surprise that she’s the new face of Nike, as the TKN songstress can frequently be seen wearing the brand’s unique designs.

Her favorite fashion labels include Ottolinger, Saks Potts and Imran Potato, as well as more well-known designer names like Prada and Louis Vuitton. The 27-year-old artist also reportedly has a decent collection of Nike and Air Jordan sneakers, which include Grateful Dead Dunks and Dior Jordan 1 Lows.
