Who is Billie Eilish dating? The singer appears to be "Happier Than Ever" with a new beau.

While most of us were streaming the best Halloween movies on October 31, the singer used the spooky holiday as an opportunity to "go official" on Instagram with a fellow musician. Allow us to get you up to speed!

Who is Billie Eilish dating? Meet her new BF

Like her peers Camila Cabello and Dua Lipa, fans have been on high alert about Eilish's love life, as new romantic connections seem to be brewing. Now, the "Ocean Eyes" singer is officially going strong with Jesse Rutherford, the lead vocalist for the alternative band, The Neighbourhood.

Rutherford, a SoCal native, has also pursued a solo career, releasing his first album & in 2017. He's even dipped into the acting space with appearances in films like Life or Something Like It and Bundy. You can also catch him on an episode of Star Trek: Enterprise.

Billie Eilish Halloween costume: what was she?

This new celebrity romance started out on a controversial note, all thanks to Eilish's Halloween Instagram post.

In a new photo dump, the singer gave fans a glimpse of how she spent the spooky holiday with her new fella, and the final image of the set showed off their now highly-debated couples costume: Eilish as a baby, and Rutherford as an old man, seemingly poking fun at their 11-year age gap. (She's 20 years old and he's 31, FYI.)

Unsurprisingly, many fans flooded the comments section with their thoughts about the costume selection. Many suggested that it was poking fun at pedophilia and grooming.

"That last slide is gonna haunt her in a few years when she’s older and realises that a 31 year old has no business with someone that young," one user wrote.

Another came to her defense and argued: "I am 22, my bf is 34 and you know what? We are in the same page.. I am an adult, just like him and we connect 100%.. Age doesn't matter when 2 adults love each other. Leave him alone."

According to sources, both Eilish' parents and brother-collaborator Finneas approve of her new love, as Jesse is allegedly respectful towards their daughter and has known the family for quite some time.

On November 5, the two decided to cement their relationship with a red carpet appearance, in matching outfits, no less. (Grace Van Patten and Jackson James White wore the same designer to the CFDAs, so we're thinking this is a couple's move for sure.)

The ventured over to the lavish 2022 LACMA Gala in Los Angeles in Gucci...pajamas. One would've expected Eilish to wear something from the designer, but jammies on a red carpet? Well, guess we shouldn't have been surprised about her bold outfit selection.

To really emphasize those cozy vibes, they also had sleep masks and a large matching blanket. The two cuddled underneath the monogrammed Gucci throw while posing for the paps, smiles and all.

Time will tell how this will unfold, but we'll be here to give you the updates.
