If you’re on the hunt for some new fall essentials to add to your capsule wardrobe, look no further than the simple wrap dress.

Wrap dresses are having a real moment right now and it’s not hard to understand why. They are perfect for every season because they are light, comfortable, and made for layering. You can wear them on their own, with a jumper, an on-trend corduroy shirt, or layered over jeans, and even teamed with the omnipresent leather blazer.

Usually constructed in soft flowing fabric, the humble wrap dress is effortless and flattering on every body shape because you can adjust the waist to however cinched in you want to be. They’re perfect for those of us who steer clear of tight-fitting dresses that have a tendency to ride up.

Plus we’ve spied some of the trendiest celebs wearing them, from Hailey Bieber to Kendall Jenner, so that's all the convincing we need.

Searches for the perfect wrap dress are on the rise, in fact, fashion retailer Karen Millen explains that they’ve seen a 1328% rise in searches this fall, compared to last year. Especially for midi wrap dresses—and who doesn’t love a midi dress for autumn?

What we really love most about wrap dresses is their versatility, not only can you find them in every length, style, and color they also work with just about everything—and that's the whole point of capsule wardrobe pieces.

Capsule wardrobes should be filled with classic staples, like white shirts and black boots that go with everything, and can be layered and re-worn over and over. The wrap dress does just that.

You can also go bold with the color, like this dress from Karen Millen—which features a structured blazer style, in bright orange. A very similar style to the one seen on Kendall.

This number from Zara incorporates everything we love about a slip dress in a wrap style.

This dress is perfect in both length and color, this 'moss' green dress will pair perfectly with a black leather blazer and some chunky boots. We're daydreaming about it already...

Mostly we’re a fan of this look because they’re ideal for those days when you really cannot be bothered, but you also low-key want to look cute.
