Along with the news of Glossier arriving at Sephora and the vegan reformulation of the iconic Balm Dot Coms in January 2023, also came the heart-breaking news that the OG Cherry Balm Dot Com was being discontinued.

The beloved balm featured a sheer red, berry tint and of course, that mouth-watering cherry scent and was a staple for many who love that whole 'bare skin and a red lip' vibe. Naturally, the axing of this shade from Glossier's line-up has left many with a hole in their makeup arsenal.

So, we've scoured the web to bring you a few Glossier Cherry Balm Dot Com swaps, that deliver a similar pinky-red flush and of course, that sweet and summery scent.

The 5 best Chery Balm Dot Com alternatives

Of course, saying farewell to Cherry Balm Dot Com was pretty heart-breaking for everyone involved, but thankfully there are still a few other cherry-centric options out there...

One of the best options is Summer Friday's Cherry Lip Butter as it offers a similar tint, dreamy scent and nourishment, though it is a tad pricier. Unfortunately, it's currently out of stock at Sephora, but it will likely return very soon and you can sign up to be notified when it's available.

Another option is Paw Paw's Ultimate Red, which while it's not cherry-scented, gives your lips a cherry-red tint. For our lip oil stans, Fenty's Cherry Treat oil is also a great alternative as it's enriched with cherry extract to hydrate your lips and delivers a sheer, cherry jelly tint.

P.S. If you're also a fan of Glossier's hero scent, check out these perfumes like Glossier You, which offer very similar skin scent vibes.

Why did Glossier discontinue the Cherry Balm Dot Com?

Glossier announced the sad news that Cherry Balm Dot Com was being retired from lip duty on January 11, 2023, after announcing the news that the iconic balms were getting a packaging makeover and a new vegan formula.

It's not exactly clear why Cherry got the boot, though the brand did introduce a Lavender flavor a few months prior and made the popular, limited edition Fig flavor a permanent fixture (not to mention that brief Swiss Miss collab), so perhaps there just wasn't room for the old timer anymore...
