While Love Island USA season four has now ended, we're still reeling over the historic return of season two bombshell, Mackenzie Dipman. While her second stint was brief, she still managed to form some bonds and some brand deals from the looks of it—so in case you're curious, here's everything we know about Mackenzie, from what she's up to now to her past Love Island appearance.

As Love Island viewers will know, not only did the USA installment get a brand new host, Sarah Hyland, but it also saw an ex-islander head into the new Santa Barbara pad (where Love Island USA is filmed) hoping for a second shot at love. Much like how Adam Collard re-entered the villa in season eight of the UK series.

Her return and exit caused quite a stir, so if you missed it or are new to the reality dating show—allow us to debrief you on everything, from the reason behind her shock exit to which season she previously starred in…

Why did Mackenzie Dipman leave Love Island USA season four?

After strutting back into the villa as the first-ever returning islander, Mackenzie struck up an initial connection with Chad Robinson, though sadly things fizzled out pretty fast. And while forging friendships with the other girls and becoming their go-to for all things relationship advice, she sadly didn't find another romantic connection in the villa.

So, when she and Chad and Joel Bierwert and Phoebe Siegel were in the vote-off for 'most compatible couple' with their fellow islanders having to choose who to send home—Mackenzie volunteered to go.

She said: "Actually before the guys spoke, I wanted to say something. Obviously, this was a really tough decision for you guys tonight and I only felt that it was fair to let you guys know that I will be leaving the villa tonight," before then telling the boys that Phoebe should be saved.

She then added: "Love Island has given me so much these last two years, and I can honestly say that I am happy to close this chapter of my life. So, thank you, guys." Mackenzie then departed with Joel, just a few days after she'd entered the villa.

What season of Love Island USA was Mackenzie Dipman on?

Mackenzie first appeared on Love Island USA season two (2020.) She was on the show for 26 days and couples up with Connor Trott for the majority of her time in the villa.

Despite not getting to go the distance on the show, Mackenzie and Connor did rekindle things on the outside, though they split in March 2021.

Now, she’s back as a bombshell and is hoping to find a new connection with one of our single Love Island boys…

Why did Mackenzie Dipman return to Love Island USA?

Speaking to People, the former islander revealed that her reason for returning was simple, she said: “Why? I’m still single, I think that’s the obvious answer.”

As for her game plan, Mackenzie explained that she would be using her previous Love Island journey to guide her. She said: “There are definitely a few guys that I have my eye on. I know, though, from my own experience, that people that I was with on the show appeared very differently on TV from how I knew them in real life, so I'm trying to keep an open mind about everybody.

“I'm just really excited to enjoy it in a way that I don't think I did the first time. Just being able to just freely experiment, try new things, have fun, meet new people. I think that's just one of the luxuries of getting a little bit older is that you just kind of learn to let go of certain insecurities. I just think it's going to be a lot more fun this time around, a lot less pressure”—love that!

What has Mackenzie Dipman been up to since Love Island USA season two?

Since initially leaving the villa the first time round, Mackenzie has been living the classic Love Island influencer life and has accumulated over 300 thousand followers on Instagram—which will no doubt grow as she continues her villa journey.

She’s also launched her own clothing brand called ‘Out of his league’ that offers cool sporty sweaters!

Following her second stint on the show, Mackenzie has seen a bump in her Instagram follower count and announced a new collaboration with Puma. She took to Instagram to break the news, writing: "This is definitely a “pinch me” moment being a part of this collaboration w/ @pumawomen to promote the @puma x @dualipa FLUTUR DROP 2.

"🦋FLUTUR🦋 is Albanian for 'butterfly' and also represents transition, metamorphosis, and new beginnings. I originally shot this collab earlier this summer before I got the news I would be returning to the show, and now more than ever, I feel connected to this message. to new beginnings & even better shoes!"
