Will we ever see 'RHONY Legacy,' or should we find ourselves another reality series?

Bravoholics are concerned about the fate of RHONY Legacy.

First, they questioned, "Is Real Housewives of New York canceled?" Then, fans happily learned that their glass of Pinot Grigio would runneth over with not one but two New York-based shows, RHONY season 14 and a reboot with O.G. NYC cast members entitled RHONY Legacy. Much like the beloved Dorinda Medley, Bravo decided to make it nice for everyone.

"There were people who really wanted: 'Let’s just totally start over.' And then there were people who were like, 'Wait a minute, but what about this group that we’ve invested 13 years in?’ I think that’s why this is really listening to everybody," Andy Cohen told Variety in 2022.

Now, however, there are questions as to whether or not this new Legacy reboot will come to fruition, which could totally throw our screen time out of whack. Here's what we know so far.

Is 'RHONY Legacy' canceled? Andy Cohen weighs in

Despite social-media rumors, Andy Cohen revealed that Bravo has no current plans to cancel RHONY Legacy

A Page Six report alleged that the network "lost interest in pursuing the ‘Legacy’ edition" amid pricey contract negotiations with the rumored RHONY Legacy cast members. However, fans rest assured when Cohen took to Twitter, posting: "Don’t believe everything you read #RHONYLegacy." Let's all breathe a collective sigh of relief.

Who will be in the 'RHONY Legacy' cast?

Rumor has it that New York housewives Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Dorinda Medley, Luann De Lesseps and Sonja Morgan would be among the returning cast members, but Cohen insists that the list is still being finalized.

"The great thing that I’ve loved about the legacy women is through the years they actually do hang out when the cameras aren’t rolling. They are really in touch. They overlap in each other’s lives," Cohen revealed to Us Weekly in 2022.

However, don't expect former series star Bethenny Frankel to be among the clan.

"Bethenny now lives in Connecticut and she’s just kind of living her best life in her own universe. So, I’m not sure given how she feels about the show at this point, that it even makes any sense," he added.

And, for those who have a close connection to the drama, things will definitely be quiet without the inimitable Ramona Singer, who fans suspect was fired from RHONY

"I do not want to do the show any longer,” she revealed to PageSixin late 2022. "It’s not for me at this time."

When will 'RHONY Legacy' premiere?

We can expect RHONY Legacy, as well as The Real Housewives of New York season 14 (get to know the RHONY season 14 cast, including former J. Crew heavyweight Jenna Lyons) at some point in 2023, although specific premiere dates for both seasons have yet to be revealed. Teasers are not yet available for either show.
