If you’re an avid binge-watcher of Netflix’s most popular series you’ll recognize the name Madelyn Cline from the hit show—Outer Banks. The show sees a group of teens go on an adventure, in search of buried treasure and hidden secrets. Madelyn, who is an actress and model plays one of the main characters, Sarah Cameron, and fulfilled all of our fangirl dreams when she started dating co-star Chase Stokes IRL. 

Now sadly it seems Madelyn Cline and Chase Stokes have broken up, and though we are desperately heartbroken at these rumors at least we know Outer Banks season three is on the way. And with a new season confirmed, what better time to take a deep dive into the rising star, and ask who is Madelyn Cline?

Madelyn Cline is an American actress and model known for starring in a slew of popular Netflix shows such as Outer Banks, Stranger Things and the film Boy Erased. She also starred in Kygo's music video, Hot Stuff

Before making it big in Outer Banks, Madelyn starred in the film Boy Erased in 2018 alongside Nicole Kidman and Joel Edgerton and made a cameo in Stranger Things as Tina in episodes 9 and 10 in Season two. 

She’s also been in series like The Originals, Day by Day, and Maid to Order.

Is Madelyn Cline in Knives Out 2? 

Yes Madelyn, is currently filming the Knives Out Sequel, alongside the likes of Daniel Craig, Kate Hudson, Dave Bautista, and Janelle Monáe. 

Though the plot and what character Madelyn will play is still unknown, she did reveal to Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show, that she was having an "existential crisis" every day on set, but that it is an "incredible" experience.

The first Knives Out film was a classic murder mystery with Daniel Craig playing a detective on a mission to suss out the murderer. So we’ll likely see Madelyn involved in another mysterious case—though we don’t know yet if her character is good or a villain.

Was Madelyn Cline a model? 

Before turning her attention to acting, Madelyn began her career at just 10-years old as a model. According to the List, she would travel to New York City in her summer breaks from school, booking different jobs in catalogs, magazines, and department stores, including work for T-Mobile, Next clothing, and American Girl magazine.

Though now we have seen her in the likes of Elle and on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar and Grazia.

Who is Madelyn Cline’s Boyfriend?

Madelyn and her fellow Outer Banks co-star Chase Stoke sent hearts racing after confirming they were both an on-screen and real-life couple in 2020, though sadly rumors have been swirling that the two have now parted ways.

It was also reported that Madelyn has started dating Riverdale’s Ross Butler, though Ross recently shut these rumors down, saying they were “Just friends” to TMZ.
