Love Island 2022’s Casa Amor week will forever go down in the history books as some of the most dramatic TV moments ever—but according to Dami and Indiyah, it didn’t all go down quite how we thought.
For anyone who needs a refresher, both Dami and Indiyah chose to recouple with Summer and Deji (who just split from Lacey) at the end of Casa, with Dami shocking viewers with his antics, sharing both a three-way kiss and a bed with Summer on the very first night. He swiftly lost a lot of his popularity with fans for his behavior throughout the series despite him and Indiyah rekindling things.
Now though, the Love Island couple and finalists have revealed that all the Casa drama wasn’t exactly a surprise to them—as they’d actually given each other the ‘green light’ to explore connections.

Speaking to presenter Nadia Jae on BBC Radio One Extra, Indiyah said: “Me and Dami had touched base before we left for Casa Amor.”
To which Dami then interjected: “She wasn’t angry…we spoke about it before Casa Amor and we were like ‘we do kinda like do have to explore new connections and if people come in we will talk to them and stuff’—so that’s why I feel like, when we came back whatever happened, that happened at the fire pit, it’s like we weren’t really upset.”
Indiyah then clarified that she was ‘p***ed’ because it wasn’t nice to see, but added, “we weren’t boyfriend and girlfriend, so really and truly I can’t tell you to not do your thing."
When Jae clarified again that the pair had infact already discussed Casa despite it not being shown, Dami hinted that it was edited to be more dramatic but, “at the end of the day, we would have always come back to each other, choose each other, always.” We wonder what Summer will have to say to that?

For all the ‘Damiyah’ fans out there though, they also gave the lowdown on their viral running kiss moment, with Indiyah revealing that it was not planned and actually came after one of the islanders' rest days.
This meant the pair had barely spoken in two days, hence why they were so desperate to see each other and share a cheeky smooch.

Cuter still, Inidyah who was at the time sharing a bed with Deji, revealed that she used the need to refill her water bottle as a ploy to go and see Dami, who was sleeping outside with Andrew, which was how the kiss came to be.
