After a year of basically no hair salons being open, we all know the agony of needing a haircut or fresh dye. Now things are finally opening again, we’re being treated to some insanely awesome hair transformations—first came Billie Eilish’s internet-breaking blonde hair, and now Selena Gomez has debuted a striking dye job of her own.
Gomez has been known to give us Zoom-ready beauty hacks but now she's bringing us all the hair inspo. The "Good For You" singer has officially bid farewell to her signature brunette locks.
Taking to her beauty brand Rare Beauty’s Instagram page, Gomez posted evidence of her new look. We have two words for you: bleach blonde.
Pairing her newly lightened hair with a band tee and pastel nails, she looks like the embodiment of spring, with cool-girl dark roots contrasting the cold striking blonde.

Gomez captioned the post: "New look. Need to pick new Rare Beauty lip and blush shades now 💓." And her fans unsurprisingly lost it.
One fan wrote: "Blondlenaaaaa🔥she back"
Another added: "OMG SHE LOOKS GORGEOUS"
And a third said: "EVERYBODY SHUT UP, SELENA IS BLONDE AGAIN WHAT."
Platinum blonde locks are having a real moment. First, Billie went full-on bleached blonde, then Meghan Thee Stallion famously rocked a white-blonde wig.

Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, Selena Gomez’s hairstylists and the owners of Nine Zero One Salon in Los Angeles, told Elle: "She typically keeps it pretty natural, but this time she went for a big change. It’s an edgier look and perfect for summer."
They also kept her dark roots visible for that easy-going, low-maintenance look, which we’re so here for. It took eight hours and 200 foils to achieve, so if you’re thinking about going blonde, know it’s not an easy or fast process!
The stylists continued: "This blonde is unique to Selena—we had to make sure there was an equal balance of cool and warm for her skin tone."
