Giving us a look into the homes of the rich and famous, Selling Sunset is never short of drama and opulence—seriously, what's with the bedroom to bathroom ratio? From weddings and divorces to multi-million dollar sales—and as if we needed anything else to hype us up for Selling Sunset's renewal, we were treated to the news that Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim were an item.

Sadly though, after just five months it seems the power couple has called it quits, revealing the main reason was their “different wants regarding family.” But don’t despair, we still get to watch the cast find out about the pair in the upcoming season of Selling Sunset among all the other dramas of course.

In previous seasons we saw the fallout from Chrishell's shock split from actor Justin Hartley and saw Mary Fitzgerald marry Romain Bonnet, and now we get to watch an office romance unfold—although now we know how the story ends.

So, while we mourn our favorite Selling Sunset pairing, let's take a look at how the relationship began and what we can expect from Season 4…

When did Chrishell and Jason start dating?

Chrishell broke the news in July 2021 with an Instagram post. She posted a series of holiday snaps and captioned it, ‘The JLo effect. 🤷🏻‍♀️.’ This of course references Jlo’s recent confirmation that she and Ben Affleck have reunited, (Bennifer forever!)

In true Jlo fashion, Chrishell posted a picture of Jason kissing her neck at the end of the series, officially confirming their relationship, and their fellow real estate agents and co-stars were quick to show their support.

Mary's husband Romain wrote: “So happy for you guys! Finally, people will stop with Jason and Mary hopefully 😋🙏🏼😘”

Jason’s twin brother said: “Love you Chrishell. Thank you for making my brother happy.”

And Mary commented: “Nothing makes me more excited than to see two of my closest friends together and making each other so happy! 😍❤️”

Heather Young also commented saying “❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ aweeeeeee yay yay 😍”

In a statement to People on their relationship status, Jason said: “Chrishell and I became close friends and it has developed into an amazing relationship.”

“I care about her deeply and we are very happy together."

The pair even made it red carpet official, appearing together at the Shang Chi premiere and attending New York Fashion Week.

While the duo has gone their separate ways, we do still get to watch the drama unfold about the romance and now break up in the upcoming season—which started filming and is due to return to Netflix in late 2021 or early 2022. Silver linings eh?
