Will there be a 'Dated and Related' season 2 on Netflix?

Fans are wondering if Melinda Berry will get another chance to guide siblings on their quest for love

Sure, we've just marathoned the debut series, but Dated and Related season 2 is already on our minds. (We have to keep our TV schedules organized, of course.)

Netflix decided to try its hand at a Love Island-esque reality show, asking contestants to gather in a gorgeous French villa with the hopes of finding love. The only catch? They had to be a wingman (or wingwoman) to their sibling. Needless to say, awkwardness abounds, but it certainly didn't get in the way of Dated and Related couples vying for true love...and the $100,000 grand prize.

Throughout the 10 episodes, host Melinda Berry swoops in on occasion to up the ante, whether with news of additional contestants coming in or going home. The Too Hot To Handle alumna is certainly no stranger to reality dating shows, and she was up to the challenge.

"I come from a massive family of 16 siblings, so I was like, 'It’s a no brainer,' she told Metro about her hosting gig with Netflix. "I know what it’s like to find love. I know what it’s like to not find love. And I have a big family. So I’m like, 'This is my field. I know exactly how to do this.'"

Will she get another shot at hosting for a purported sophomore season, or are we closing this chapter for good? Can we expect a return to the villa? Allow us to fill you in, hopeful romantics

At this time, there is no word on whether or not Dated & Related season 2 is in the works, but considering the series was just unleashed into the wild, we can expect a bit of a wait. My Imperfect Life reached out to the Netflix team for confirmation but did not hear back at the time of publication.

Additionally, given that the three couples from the end of the season all fared a bit differently once they left Cannes, we're kind of hoping for some sort of catch-up or reunion à la Love Is Blind: After the Altar season 2

Some contestants have teased a few adventures post-villa, including British twins, Will and Henry, who were not quite so successful on the series. But it seems as though they've used their time on TV to their advantage.

"I’m not going to lie, Hennerz is a pretty good wingman," Will told Netflix Tudum. "Let’s just say we’ve both had some fun since filming the show."

(How can we not catch up after a statement like that?) No word on a reunion, either, but you will be the first to know should Netflix provide us with updates.

In the meantime, be sure to mark your calendars for Love Is Blind season 3 this October. We'll be meeting Dallas-based contestants looking for their perfect match, and you won't want to miss a second of the shenanigans.

But as for Dated and Related? Here's hoping viewers will get round 2! Stay tuned, reality TV fans, and keep those fingers crossed for more.
