While we already know Margot Robbie used a certain Barbie perfume to get into character, it turns out another cult favorite beauty product helped to bring Ryan Gosling's Ken to life.

If you've had the pleasure of watching the Barbie movie, you'll know Ryan Gosling's Kenergy was off the charts, in part thanks to Ken's sunkissed and perfectly plastic-fantastic gleam. So, what helped him achieve his on-screen glow, we hear you ask? That honor belongs to Glossier's Mango Balm Dot Com.

Yes, this universal salve, with its orange tint and fruity zing, apparently put the Beach in 'Beach Ken'—here's how...

How Glossier's Balm Dot Com brough the *Kenergy*

So, how did Glossier mango balm have a 'Barbie' cameo, exactly? Well, speaking to PopSugar, Barbie's resident tanning specialist, Kimberley Nkosi revealed that she used the fan-favorite Glossier Balm Dot Com flavor to make Ryan's bronzed skin 'glisten' and to keep it hydrated.

RRP: $14

Complete with its new applicator, the Mango balm delivers hydration to the lips, along with a hint of orange tint and of course, that summery, mango scent. Available in nine shades and flavors.

To make your day even sweeter, now that Glossier is at Sephora, you can also shop your fave balm alongside perfumes like Glossier You and the best non-comedogenic foundations.

The balm itself is formulated with shea butter, castor jelly, synthetic beeswax, vitamin E and safflower oil to condition, soothe and moisturize—with some flavors even offering a slight tint or shimmer. They're also vegan and cruelty-free.

And while these paint-like tubes of scented, nourishing goodness are first and foremost lip balms, the OG balm especially, can also be used as a multipurpose product. As Glossier says: "While you’re at it, apply Original to cuticles, elbows, or wherever else could use some moisture. Lips shouldn’t get to have all the fun!" A great staple to have in your bag if you suffer from dry skin, or want to add a glassy glow to your cheekbones for instance.

It's unclear where exactly Nkosi applied the mango balm to Ken, but we're imagining its orange tint helped to bring a doll-like, beach-ready sheen to his lips and flawlessly tanned abs.

And in case you were wondering what exact tanner was used on the Barbies' and Kens' alike, Nkosi also let slip that she used this Isle of Paradise Self-Tan Water (available at Amazon).
