You all know Emily Cooper, but what about Lily Collins, the actor behind those berets and sequined outfits in Emily in Paris?

Now that the beloved Netflix rom-com has returned for Emily in Paris season 3, eager fans are looking forward to getting to the bottom of a few things: Who does Emily end up with? Does Emily stay in Paris or return home to Chicago? And who is it that newcomer Paul Forman plays exactly?

There's a lot to piece together, and the latest season—which premiered on Wednesday, December 21—will take viewers on a fun, lighthearted sojourn through the French capital. There's an abundance of designer styles, a helping of romance and, yes, in true millennial fashion, a bit of confusion, too.

And, like Emily, Lily Collins is staying busy in the career department. "Work is so much a part of who I am. I love what I do," the actor told our sister site, Who What Wear. "And I’m very much like my character [Emily]. I love what I do, I’m unapologetically work-driven. But I’m also unapologetically life-driven."

Let's get to know Emily IRL and what's coming next for star Lily Collins.

Get to know Lily Collins, 'Emily in Paris' leading lady:

British-American actress Lily Collins was born in the UK but ultimately made her way to Los Angeles as a young child. Although her first acting gig was in Growing Pains in 1992, she had initially intended to pursue a career in journalism while studying at USC years later.

Her bylines are impressive—she has written for the likes of Teen Vogue and Seventeen—and she even dipped into broadcast journalism, with a hosting gig during Nick News with Linda Ellerbee: Kids Pick the President in 2000.

However, she ultimately found her way on set. "You’re being vulnerable. You’re telling parts of your soul to the world through lyrics or through a part," Collins revealed to TODAY about her acting career.

Does Lily Collins speak French?

Yes, although our Chicago ex-pat has a ways to go in the French department in Emily in Paris, Lily Collins can actually speak the language.

"I grew up speaking French in school,” Collins said, according to ShowBiz CheatSheet. "My little brothers are half-Swiss so I started speaking French with them at a young age."

She's definitely more comfortable with the language than her character is, that's for sure!

Does Lily Collins have a British accent?

Though she was born in Guildford, Surrey, England, Collins does not have a British accent, likely because she and her family ended up in Los Angeles, California, when she was young.

Who are Lily Collins' parents?

Lily Collins' parents are quite well-known: her father is famed musician Phil Collins and her mother is Jill Tavelman, who was the president of the Beverly Hills Women's Club for three terms. Her parents ultimately spilt when she was a child, but Collins remains very family oriented.

She credits her father's talent for her decision to dip into acting. While at Disneyland as a young child, she couldn't understand why everyone came up to him, asking for photographs when she thought he had nothing to do with the Happiest Place on Earth. As she got older, she began to understand what a great impact her dad's music had, and she hoped to find a similar passion.

"It was that kind of recognition no matter where he went that he had touched the life of somebody in a very profound way," she further revealed to TODAY.

She had heard her now-husband speaking about the wife character and became very drawn to the role.

"I felt quite attached to her and the trajectory and the story very early on but did not know that I’d end up being involved in it in this way," Collins confessed to Netflix. "I thought I was just going to be a supportive cheerleader on the sidelines and someone to talk through ideas."

Where did Lily Collins' wedding take place?

According to Brides, Lily Collins and Charlie McDowell tied the knot at Dunton Hot Springs in Colorado, an intimate, rustic setting, with roughly 40 people in attendance (including Emily in Paris costar Ashley Park!). She wore a white lace gown from Ralph Lauren, and the photos were stunning!
