The Lululemon belt bag has swiftly become a TikTok favorite—but why is this mini bag so popular, exactly and how do we go about styling it with the rest of our capsule wardrobes?

Much like with the Uniqlo shoulder bag, Lululemon's sleek equivalent to the '80s 'fanny pack' has reached viral status on the app thanks to its size-defying storage capabilities. It's basically being heralded as the activewear version of Mary Poppins' magic bag but in cuter colorways (no offense, Mary P), that comfortably fits everything from your headphones to your fave spring perfume.

Naturally though, like with many of TikTok's viral items—take Birkenstock Bostons and Adidas Samba sneakers, for instance—the belt bag sells out constantly. So first and foremost...

When is the next Lululemon belt bag restock?

As of May 2023, Lululemon's best-selling nylon bag has officially been restocked—and it's available in a ton of new shades in both the classic 1L size and the large 2L version at Lululemon, as well as in a few shades of their mini belt bag.

But before you head off to add it to your cart, along with the best workout clothes and the Lululemon mirror, here's why it's so beloved—plus some tips on styling and cleaning it...

Right now, 90s mini bags are very much still the moment, the smaller the better—but of course, with their cute micro sizes also comes the issue of storage. Mobile phones can barely fit in the pockets of our jeans anymore, let alone most mini bags, and never mind the rest of our handbag accessories. So, when we find a bag that is both small but roomy, it's a BIG deal.

Enter the Lululemon belt bag which features a main compartment with two side pouches, plus a back zip-up compartment, which—as many TikTok users have demonstrated—can fit all of your essentials and then some. Yes, we come with receipts...

As we can see, your phone, card holder, best perfume for women, lip balms and hand sanitizers all fit in the viral bag, making it ideal for both travel and every day—it even makes for the perfect gym bag, as you can keep everything securely strapped around your waist.

It also helps that the restocked belt bag is available in a 15colorways, including the 'grey sage' Lululemon belt bag. If you're a lover of minimal fashion, we'd recommend opting for basic colors like black, white, or grey so they go with everything.

Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag 1L

RRP: $38

This Lululemon waist bag is made from water-repellent fabric and is available in 15 colorways, including 'Powder Blue' and 'Twilight Rose'. It features internal pouches and an external zip pocket to keep your items secure—and it has adjustable straps, so you can either wear it around your waist like a belt, or over your shoulder.

For anyone wanting extra storage, you can also shop this bag in a '2L' size.

The new Lululemon belt bag colors

The Lululemon belt bag restock has brought with it a number of new dreamy shades and OG faves, including 'Summer Glow' and 'Powder Blue', as well as 'Twilight Rose' —which is a deep, rusty rose shade—and 'True Navy.'

You can also still snag the staple colors like 'Black,' 'Grey Sage' and 'Opal White'—plus the 12 other colors, some of which also bare cool graphics of the Lululemon logo.

How to wear the Lululemon belt bag

Thanks to the simplicity of this waist bag, styling it is actually a breeze! The options for a cute Lululemon belt bag outfit are endless—you can opt for a sporty look, pairing it with your go-to workout gear or best loungewear, wearing it either around your waist as the name suggests, or slung across your body.

For a casual daytime look, you can wear it as a casual shoulder bag, or again as a cross-body bag with a classic pair of jeans and a basic white tee or tank top, elevating the minimal look with a pair of the best huggie earrings and a simple gold chain necklace. We'd also recommend adding a pair of Emma Chamberlain-approved sunglasses to really complete the fit.

You can even make this Lululemon mini bag work for a date night or party look, pairing it with a mini dress, skirt, or even a sheer dress (which are very in right now). This bag is the perfect way to make a denim maxi skirt and crop top look a bit more 'cool-girl' like you dressed up, but you didn't try that hard—y'know?

How to clean Lululemon belt bag

For $38 ideally, you want this bag to last, so knowing how to clean away any pesky marks is useful.

The Lululemon website says not to tumble dry but instead 'spot clean' which means treating the area that is stained by hand, as opposed to washing the whole garment.

Lululemon recommends: "spot-cleaning your bag with a cloth, a little soap and water."

Lululemon belt bag dupes for when you can't get hold of it
