Wondering what makeup trends will be big this summer? Well, you need only turn to recent celebrity Coachella outfits for answers, as Hailey Bieber makes a case for bold, yellow eyeliner...

Yes, it seems the model and Rhode beauty founder is having quite the love affair with yellow this season, from ditching her viral 'glazed donut' manicure for vibrant passionfruit nails to wearing a new sunny-colored liner look.

We know what you're thinking—yellow liner is great for a festival makeup look, but surely not for everyday right? Well, celebs like Hailey, Lizzo and Gigi Hadid are proving that it's a surprisingly wearable hue and never fails to bring those summer vibes.

Taking to her Instagram on Sunday, April 16, 2023, Hailey Bieber shared her look for the first weekend of Coachella (where we got to see Rosalía's dreamy ruffled top!), debuting her casual fit of a tank top and wide-leg blue jeans, complete with her classic 'glazed' foundation makeup look.

However, your eyes immediately jump to that of the model, thanks to a subtle hint of yellow lining her upper lid—like a tiny, literal ray of sunshine. Instead of winging out the liner, Hails kept it minimal, opting for the shade to just follow her natural eye shape—simple but effective.

We're guessing this was subtle marketing for her new passionfruit-flavored peptide lip treatment, but she's actually not the only celeb this season to show a little love for yellow eye makeup.

We have also spied Gigi Hadid repping the trend, as well as Lizzo, who has been rocking some yellow liner looks throughout The Special Tour!

The sunny shade initially started creeping onto social feeds in spring 2022, with Dua Lipa and Margot Robbie jumping on the trend—and clearly, it's not going anywhere fast.

So, for anyone wanting to get in the summery mood or just channel Hailey's Coachella liner with their own upcoming festival look, here are a few yellow liners to add to your next beauty haul...
