When it comes to the most 90s fashion and beauty icons, few can compete with Clueless's leading lady Cher Horowitz. The outfits! The make-up! The "as ifs"! It's hard to believe the film is now more than 25 years old, but here we are, folks.
And while a Clueless reboot for TV has been in the works for a little while, the pandemic seems to have well and truly put that on hold for now, so we'll just have to keep rewatching the film to get our nostalgia fix until then.
There are several things we'd like to leave in that decade, but some 90s beauty trends will never get old – including brown toned lipstick like Cher's signature shade in the film. Keep reading for the exact lipstick that Alicia Silverstone wore while playing the iconic character. Hint: it's by an extremely popular make-up brand...

What lipstick did Cher wear in Clueless?
For the majority of the film, Alicia Silverstone wore MAC's Malt Lipstick and Raizin Lip Liner as Clueless's Cher Horowitz. The film's make-up artist shared the details with celebrity MUA Lisa Eldridge in an interview back in 2014.
Sadly both have since been discontinued (why oh why!), and the shade names Malt and Raizin are only available as an eyeshadow and blush respectively. As an alternative, MAC's Paramount is an equally lovely 90s inspired brown – and it's the exact lipstick Jennifer Aniston wore as Friends' Rachel Green.
MAC Satin Lipstick in Paramount, $19/£17.50 (opens in new tab)
A rich, reddish brown lipstick with a creamy finish. Iconic.
Still, as if this iconic shade ended up being discontinued.
Maybe if we all start lobbying now, MAC will consider bringing back Malt Lipstick to tie in with the TV reboot?
