Hailey Bieber has spoken out on her health, revealing that she has an ovarian cyst 'the size of an apple'. The clean-girl muse took to her Instagram to share what’s been going on with her health, posting a picture to her story of her stomach—sharing that she’s been dealing with an ‘apple’ sized ovarian cyst.

Preempting any pregnancy rumors, she wrote, “not a baby,” before adding, “I have a cyst on my ovary the size of an apple." She then continued: "I don't have endometriosis or PCOS but I have gotten an ovarian cyst a few times and it's never fun."

Hailey added that the cyst is painful and makes her stomach feel achy, crampy and bloated as well as leaving her feeling understandably emotional. She then wrote, “I’m sure a lot of you can overly relate and understand. We got this.”

What is an ovarian cyst? 

According to the NHS, an ovarian cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops on the ovary and while they’re quite common and aren’t usually symptomatic—when they are large (like Hailey’s) or rupture, they can cause pain and require medical attention and treatment, so it is important to know what the symptoms are!

The symptoms of an ovarian cyst include; pelvic pain (anything from a dull, heavy sensation to a severe or sudden sharp pain), pain during sex, a frequent need to pee, heavy and irregular periods—or periods that are lighter than usual—bloating and swelling and feeling full even after not eating much. They can also make it more difficult to get pregnant, though the NHS says fertility is not usually affected long-term.

In the past Hailey has been very transparent with her health, even sharing a video detailing her scary blood clot experience earlier this year, where she was rushed to the hospital with stroke-like symptoms.
