The brand OUAI (pronounced like "way") was founded by hairstylist to the stars Jen Atkin, who tames the locks of A-listers like Hailey Bieber and the Kardashian crew. OUAI is known for its miracle, conditioning products that help repair damaged hair and also leave your tresses smelling like heaven.
OUAI is known for its signature scents that are inspired by places like Los Angeles and Australia—fragrances that you can now buy in candle form and will leave your home smelling sweet and, wherever you leave them, looking chic.
The new candles come in two of the iconic scents, Melrose Place and North Bondi, and both are housed in stoneware jars. The candles are made from a mix of coconut and soy wax, and burn clear for up to 55 hours.
Melrose Place comes in the cutest pastel-pink jar, and has notes of "velvety-rich rose fragrance with notes of bergamot, lychee, cedarwood, and white musk," according to the brand.
The North Bondi Candle arrives in a grey stone jar, perfect if you’re not a lover of pink, and has a rich blend of florals. It contains notes of white musk, bergamot, Italian lemon, rose de mai, and violet. And as OUAI says: “We flame to please.”
OUAI also shared a tip to make your candles burn longer. You need to let the whole top layer of the candle burn on its first light—the website says: “if the first burn does not melt the complete top layer of wax, it will form a 'memory ring,' causing a funnel effect.” This will make your candle burn unevenly and will not last as long, so take notes from the pros!
