Theo James had everyone talking after that scene, but Adam DiMarco is hot on his heels as the hunk of The White Lotus season 2. (Also, we're still not entirely sure if that thing was a prosthetic or not, just saying.)

DiMarco joins a whole host of newcomers—save for returning actors Jennifer Coolidge and Jon Gries—in the cast of The White Lotus season 2, including Aubrey Plaza, Meghann Fahy, Will Sharpe and Leo Woodall

Adam shares the most screentime, though, with actors Michael Imperioli and F. Murray Abraham, who play his character Albie's father and grandfather, respectively, as well as Haley Lu Richardson, portraying a personal assistant with whom Albie shares an initially flirty and growingly awkward connection throughout season 2, which premiered on Sunday, October 30.

But who is Adam DiMarco and where have you seen the actor before? Here's what we know.

Who is Adam DiMarco, 'The White Lotus' actor?

Adam DiMarco is a Canadian actor born in Vancouver, who has been acting in film and television for more than a decade. Outside of his work on The White Lotus, he's best known for playing Randall Carpio on the Netflix horror drama The Order and the recurring role of Todd on the Syfy fantasy series The Magicians. You may also recognize him from Disney Channel Original Movies including 2012's Rebel Radio and 2014's Zapped.

In The White Lotus season 2, DiMarco plays Albie Di Grasso, a twentysomething Stanford grade who joins his father Dominic (Imperioli) and grandfather Bert (Abraham) on a Sicilian vacation to explore their Italian heritage. It's a Di Grasso boys' trip because Albie's mother and sister have dropped out after Dominic is caught cheating yet again on his wife, which adds a good amount of tension between the three generations of men.

"I got the material and immediately connected to Albie. There were a lot of similarities between us and obviously the show’s f*cking amazing," DiMarco told GQ. "It’s very rare that you get a chance to do a second season of something that’s already been established—and established as great. The biggest no-brainer of my life."

Though he admitted to TODAY that "it was a bit intimidating at first" joining the cast, his onscreen family Michael Imperioli and F. Murray Abraham soothed his nerves. "It felt really natural. I felt at ease with them immediately. There were no table reads or anything, but us three would read through all seven episodes at least once a week and just kind of hear it out loud. And then we’d shoot the sh*t," DiMarco said to GQ.

He continued: "I’d bring them fresh Sicilian strawberries and blood oranges trying to curry favor. We’d talk about The Godfather or talk about our own fathers and our relationships with them. Or talk about our relationship to sex. We’d touch on different themes of the show. Michael and Murray have been around a lot longer than I have, so they have some great stories and I was happy to be kind of a fly on the wall for a lot of those conversations."
