The bumpy Emily in Paris season 3 ending is proof that love isn't always easy—even when you're in the most romantic city in the world.

Much of the new season finds fans asking, "Who does Emily end up with in Emily in Paris?" We know our American expat (Lily Collins) is pursuing a relationship with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), however, we sense that she is not truly over Chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), despite his blossoming romance with Camille (Camille Razat).

As you might've guessed, things take a turn for the confusing once we reach the finale. If you're still catching up, it might be a good ideas to turn back now.

'Emily in Paris' season 3 ending: what you need to know

*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD*

Things between Alfie and Emily are uneasy from the get-go. When he left for England, Emily wasn't at his good-bye party...even though she was the one hosting it. Then, when things seemed to get back on track upon his return to Paris after a visit with family, Emily also learned that he hasn't made mention of Emily to his loved ones.

"The last girl I introduced to my family said we were moving fast and broke up with me," Alfie tells Emily. "The one before that said she loved me, but wasn't sure I was the one. And then the one before that..."

Needless to say, the two are on shaky territory...much like Camille and Gabriel. Though they had problems to begin with, trouble brews when Camille starts seeing a Greek artist (played by Melia Kreiling) behind Gabriel's back. What's more is Emily catches the two kissing, and she debates whether or not she should tell Gabriel.

To up the ante, Gabriel proposes and we find everyone together at their nuptials, but when it comes time to say "I do," Camille can't go through with it...and cites Emily as the reason why (all while at the altar). Oh, and at this point in time, he's still in the dark about Camille's secret relationship.

This doesn't bode well for Alfie, who decided to attend the wedding alongside Emily. "Go get your man," he tells her after the ceremony is interrupted. That's when we find Emily and Gabriel outside talking to one another, trying to wrap their heads around what just took place. As if the heartbreak wasn't complicated enough, Gabriel reveals that Camille is expecting.

Where do we go from here? Who ends up with one another? Does Camille ever confess about her affair? Does poor Alfie get a happy ending?! There's still a lot to figure out, and there's no telling where things will go next. One thing's for sure, we're very much looking forward to Emily in Paris season 4

"Definitely excited that we get to do a four because we leave you on a cliffhanger," Collins told Variety. "When we read it, we were like, 'Wait, what?' And we were very excited. So I'm very proud of this season."
